You would be hard pressed to find someone in this thread who doesn't know. But it's very nice of you to think about us Smiley

Self-moderated thread for discussion of Monero trading and price speculation.

Off topic posts will be removed. Off topic includes any extensive discussion of other coins, promoting other coins, or posting of promotional materials from other coins.

Non-substantive comments such as Monero sucks, Monero is a scam, Monero is great, Monero to the moon, etc. are considered off topic. Every post and reply should add to the discussion. The preceding sentence forbids repetitive exchanges on the same topic without some topical context.

Hostile trolling (which includes but is not limited to use of "meme" pictures to attack or demean) especially by sock puppet accounts is not allowed.

When quoting posts, please remove any large charts or other images unless the quoted post is at least one page old. Please shrink (or remove) large images in replies in all cases.

When I am speaking as the moderator, and only then, I will write in red. Other messages using red text are not permitted.

People speculating on Monero may also be interested in the MoneroMarkets subreddit (unaffiliated)

Monero is one do the first coins based upon the idea of complete privacy and security. The transactions of monero are secure and untraceable. Even the amount sent in the transaction is also secure and hidden. It is considered as master of all privacy coins by many and i see alot of potential in monero. It is surely a coin worth investing and you can expect it's price to hit 1000$ mark by end of this year for user sure.

So people behind MoneroV has claimed that MyMonero will support MoneroV. Which is a lie. And they even have recommended to use Monero keys to access MoneroV. Do not do it!

That is very alarming. Read more here. https://medium.com/@tweetingpauls/beware-of-non-native-forks-of-monero-6f5a0bf1fccf

If you have allready not.

So even Monero team is very unwilling to make any marketing or advertising actions, it now has duty to give a very loud and public warning all around on youtube redit and cryptosphere about the suspicious activity of the MoneroV and the the people behind it.

Nobody on the Monero community do not want anyone to lose any Monero because of this scam.

Very pleased to see Monero back in the top 10  Grin
yes, monero is worthy to be in that position. this is a good coin to invest, because it has a high degree of privacy and also becomes one of the most personal, secure and anonymous coins in the world. even the amount sent in the transaction is also safe and hidden. I believe the future of monero will be even brighter.

Another elite?  Was not the one formed in 2013 already enough?

Well if we dont got the new elite we at least got Ledger HW code merged: https://github.com/monero-project/monero/commit/c7ace5fa3d412410312e21c55c28068dcd625fef  and just published soem news: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/820uee/ledger_hardware_wallet_monero_integration_some/

And the another dew meeting: https://monerobase.com/wiki/DevMeeting_2018-03-04

12:21 PM <psychocrypt> are there ASICs on the way?
12:21 PM <+moneromooo> The fork is pushed back to end of march, due to the two weeks faffing around.
12:21 PM <@fluffypony> psychocrypt: ASICs already exist

So yes there are ASICS and the fork will be end of March not at 14.03.
Hope they can counter the ASICS attack

This Monero at 300 USD is boring me now.  I want moon.  Grin

But seriously, I think Monero is the only coin capable of reaching 10K USD per coin.  It's clearly trying to get it's fair share of transaction volume.  It's sad to say this but it's slowly eating up Bitcoin's share of the pie.

Bitcoin private has better privacy technology and you have the option to send a private transaction or public. Plus it's built on bitcoins blockchain which has better written code from over 400 developers that worked on it.

I think one day the weak projects will collapse. Robust projects of the market like ZEC, such as XMR, can survive after such a time. It sounds like a solid project to me, MONERO.
