I'm no expert, but i call them as i see them.
Very naive of you to call him out on that bluff.. One day it may happen to you and you wont get benefit of doubt

I called him out as dead weight, not on any "bluff". It's pretty immature of yourself to comment without reading

Do you even know what naive means?

edit: I in no means was ever saying that jonn4y  was dead weight because he found out he had cancer. I am a long time supporter and my faith and patience have been lost waiting for the entire dev team to come through on their promises. I wish everyone here the best of luck especially jonn4y with what he is dealing with in real life

Yet no apology... sad sad excuse for a human you are.. u must be a bot?

Here I will simplify: What do you think "calling them" means? You obviously said that because u didnt think hes sick (bluff).. Thus you seem to be categorizing him as the type of dev or team member who quits
on his team which we have seen here in the crypto seen all too many times... and have tried to do so with him even though he said he had cancer.. You still went ahead and "called" him on the bluff.. Id call that naive or just stupid.

I already expressed my condolences in slack prior to ever talking about anything here. What got deleted is what got deleted and i dont have to repeat myself.

This cancer thing is recent as he explains. Being stupid would be entertaining this reason as an explanation for months and months of failed promises and poor execution of efforts.

Don't worry this is my last comment here. Syscoin is not dead, but i personally know of atleast 4 long term supporters that have walked because of reasons stemming back to these two. You want to keep defending them? Cool, i admire the commradery. But dont tell me im the stupid one when as you say, it fits the stereotypical line of bullshit.

I'm going to politely sidestep these arguements to attempt to refocus things on Syscoin and @kamronk's statement:

Development Update!

Syscoin is not dead

Agreed. I'm doing my best to keep things moving and I've hit some hard times myself this week thus the exceptionally quiet week. I'd prefer not to elaborate on my issues but I'll just say its medical, and its family related. That being said I was able to get back to the "helm" so to speak and I'm happy to be back (better than other "real life" things I'm dealing with that's for sure  Cry).

In the spirit of transparency, the "team notes" from our weekly call (yes, we talk every Sunday at 3pm US/EST) have been posted publicly: https://slack-files.com/T03643FFW-F03PM7JSK-5c6afb9031

There is a new blog post, with lots of news and updates: http://syscoin.org/syscoin-update-focusing-on-blockmarket-and-platform/

The roadmap has been updated as expressed in the blog post: http://syscoin.org/roadmap

Got Blockmarket Beta2 rolling out Friday. Hang in there, beta2 makes it easy to add items (finally!) a critical component to a thriving marketplace Smiley

Good. Thank you for the update and best wishes!

Also.

Than you so much dev for this great update! I know I've been nagging and complaining but that's because I can't understand why the price of this awesome coin is so low with all these great developments that are being made. This update reminded me why I decided to invest in this coin, because the value and potential of this coin is immense. I must say I am a happy customer right now. I'm truly impressed. I'm happy with the legal status as well. Thank you so much devs for working so hard, I believe in you guys! You should definitely pursue legal action with that android wallet dev as well, what a scum bag. An android wallet is really important and I hope that's high on the list as well.

And I hope you have a speedy recovery jonn4y!

I tried to install the wallet (windows), I get "no blocksource available", I have no syscoin connections.

Do I need syscoin.conf file or something?

Thank you for the update. As most of us on here, we don't require a lot of info we just need to know the lights are on and someone's home.

There are a lot of people that use bitcointalk.org to research and find new opportunities. If you don't update here most people are going to skip over it assuming it's dead or dying. I don't think taking 5 minutes of someone's time to cut and paste a tweet or a slack chat once or twice a week is going to hurt development time. It will, however, make a huge impact with public image and opinion of the coin.

Read the details in the blog under "Legal".

While it is certainly good news it's makes me wonder for what?
An arrest implies some criminal charges of some kind finally being applied.
While the Syscoin Team's action is civil.
I admit I'm not familiar with UK laws and that you can't disclose much at this point......
I just wonder if you think He'll come off your money now to get out of jail?

I've been asking same thing around here with not much help. I did see this, it might help.

Thanks! I personally don't consider it nagging - I would be nagging if I were in your position as well Smiley We've (the team) all just been busy or otherwise and thus communications kinda broke down the past two weeks- at least we're big enough to admit to that and to doing better in that regard. That being said I'm glad the update last night helped get people up to speed! As quiet as things may seem on the face of things as you can tell from the post there is quite a lot going on (and on a number of different fronts- legal, scammy devs, new products, feature improvements, etc). Some stuff we weren't able to confirm until lately (the scammy dev, grrr) but we're working on better communications even if its just small bits of news rather than droughts of info and then a flood like I posted last night  Shocked

I tried to install the wallet (windows), I get "no blocksource available", I have no syscoin connections.

Do I need syscoin.conf file or something?

It's odd this is happening as we do have a "DNS Seed" which should automatically connect you. But clearly something in that process isn't working for you- in that case I suggest either adding a node through Syscoin-QT console, open it up and type the command 'addnode node.syscoin.tk add'- or create a conf file with addnode=node.syscoin.tk. Close and restart the client if you edit the conf file and then it should start syncing. If you do it via console just give it a few minutes (1-2min) and it will begin syncing.

If all that fails, here is a good peers.dat, close your wallet, swap this peers.dat in, reopen your wallet, sync should begin. I may PM you for more info on this to figure out why the wallet sometimes doesn't connect to nodes- its a spurious network-level (TCP/IP) issue we've seen here and there but haven't been able to solidly reproduce nor does it seem to impact many users (1 in 50? or less?). In the interim, the above should get you syncin' Smiley

@MrFelt I think it happened between late November 2014 and January 2015; I'm sure the exact date but I bet you could dig them up  Wink

It is good news, and @Beachguy you're right in your questions; Unfortunately at the moment that's all I can say. We are working very closely with authorities to bring justice to this situation. We've spent months compiling evidence to that end and the resources the police have at their disposal far exceed ours. With our combined knowledge and resources we see their involvement as very positive.

@LiteBit and @jokumat lmk if you still have any issues getting sync'd up!

I think slow and steady will win the race....  get some SYS, put it in a cold wallet and just let it happen....

I am not too concerned about all the so called 'problems'... Bitcoin still has bigger ones and is surviving just fine....
