Your confusion stems from impatience and unrealistic expectations.  No one knows whether you will make money or not, or whether this coin will be around long term.  Personally I think this coin is MUCH more likely to be around long term than 99% of other coins!  People seem to focus only the problems and very little as to the actions of the dev team to correct them, all these problems ONLY gave me more confidence in the coin and the team behind it.

moolah can you tell us whats going on about the funds for the devs please .you did say on IRC later today. 1hr 15mins till next day...are you happy with progress..please say if i am wrong for asking that sort of question..but i feel its important to let your investors know whether you feel the devs are making good progress and you will be releasing the funds to them..so we know theirs a future for syscoin..remember all the bitcoin you hold its the investors bitcoin and not yours.. investors will be worried you wont be you got nowt to loose..

We are getting ready to release Syscoin v0.1.4 TONIGHT. THIS IS A PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT!

A MANDATORY Client Upgrade v0.1.4 will be released 8/27 @ 8pm EDT. The code on github will be updated at this time as well. Please be READY to update at this time.

This update introduces 2 major enhancements- MERGED MINING WITH ANY SCRYPT COIN and REGENERATED SERVICE FEES FOR MINERS. This release also includes a stability fix for pool operators.

No action is needed right now. This is a pre-announcement so that users, pool operators and exchanges can be ready to update this evening.

The 0.1.4 UPDATE HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY DELAYED AS WE WAIT FOR OUR NODES TO UPDATE. PLEASE STAND BY, WE ESTIMATE LESS THAN AN HOUR BEFORE BINARIES ARE PUBLIC

Nothing bad has happened, we're just waiting so that this is done proper. We will post the new binaries and let people know when "master" on github is ready to update from momentarily. Thanks for your patience.
