Transferred 25k from Mintpal at 22:00 EST in 1.3 wallet. 25K received in 1.3 wallet and confirmed.
Upgraded to 1.4 wallet minutes ago. 25K now unconfirmed. Wallet on current block. Also new receive address with 1.4 wallet?
Will 25k confirm?
Thanks for the help. Regards

Did you happen to backup your wallet.dat file before you upgraded?

No. Not this upgrade.

Well if you got a new address when you upgraded your wallet, it means your old address was overwritten by the new wallet somehow. Did you delete the files in your data directory before you upgraded? If your old wallet.dat got overwritten, or deleted, your coins are gone.  Undecided

[Edit: Unless you did a " dumpprivkey <address> " - in which case you can do an " importprivkey "]

Merged mining works by taking the "work" done to solve a block on a different scrypt coin- lets say Litecoin in this case - and reusing that "work" to solve Syscoin blocks. This effectively nets the miner 2 coins for the "work" of one. You can see how this will not only increase the network hashrate exponentially, its also more cost effective for miners and improves the distribution of Syscoin in general.

Ehm, ok . But how do I start merge mining:)?

Does it have to be done on a pool that supports both the coin mined and SYS?  Or is it set up in the wallet?

You can merge mine with us over at Simple Doge if you like. Merge mining cannot be done through the wallet only, but you can setup additional software to merge mine locally. Also, keep in mind that merge mining isn't actually enabled on the network until blockheight 17k

@danosphere - Can you add us to the list of pools? We used to be on there but it looks like we got removed Sad
Nice work on the updates btw.

I mine at www.simpledoge.com and can say that it was easy to merge mine. I just needed a wallet for each of the coins, and then sign each coin-add instruction using the Doge wallet.

I posted a support message to them via email and Eric replied within minutes without any boilerplate nonsense, just the info I needed. So, as far as I can say, support is very good.

I look forward to SYS block 17k, so I can start getting some SYS over there.

No. Not this upgrade.

Replied to your PM asking for some more info. Just another reminder that payments sent to/from exchanges that have not yet upgraded will not show up in your wallet yet. Please wait for them to update.

Forum page 1 needs updated to reflect V 1.4 for wallet. Still reads V 1.3

Thanks, doing that right now!

So far things are looking good we've been monitoring the network since the rollout. While most exchanges still need to update pools have been doing well and the wallet is working well for everyone. We will continue to monitor the network across the forkpoint at block 17k after which we'll begin to refocus efforts on parallel development of trustless escrow (roadmap feature) and QT wallet UI updates and improvements.

Please note our official block explorer (and the unofficial explorer) has not yet been upgraded as of this posting but the admin should be updating it ASAP. If you aren't seeing things there that is why.

All merged pools; merged mining is disabled until this block height so that we can allow the network to properly update fully. Because of timezones we want to let everyone have plenty of time to move to the new client before merged mining and the new rewards kick in.

You can merge mine SYS at block 17k
You will be able to merge mine LTC possibly as early as next week.

Great news - we are on the Chinese exchange now! This should be promoted on Twitter! More updates and lighter tone are needed.

Perhaps we can start thinking about doing a multilingual site for the coin, in particular in Chinese....we will be one of the very few coins to have that if we can pull that off
