anyone know how much longer cryptsy will have the SYS wallet down for??? i havent been able to move funds for 2 days and no reply to support ticket.

They had a wallet issue with all coins. Fixing them by volume... But cryptsy is slooooow overall. Recommend not to use them. Might be insolvent soon? Looks very much like Cryptorush right before the shitstorm started..
Good lord I hope not. I have 25k SYS that I need to get out of cryptsy.

For our US people, if you need a tax deduction, your SYS donation IS tax deductible!!!
wow you get taxed when you donate to charity in usa never knew that ..do what ever you need to do to make it all legal and above board..thanks

NO!!!  But you can deduct it from your yearly taxes!!  If it's a sizable donation, the charity will send you a letter stating the donation, so you can deduct from your federal income tax!!
with you now ..

Nope, say a whale sent a BTC worth of SYS.  If he sent the TX and his mailing info the charity would mail him a tax form.  Little donations the IRS doesn't question.

Got some spare SYScoin sitting around doing nothing?  Since I'm an active SYS miner (and supporter), please check out www.cryptoforkids.com

For the past decade WLRA Radio/Lewis University (Romeoville, IL) holds a bi-annual fundraiser to benefit Advocate Hope Children's Charities. So far Lewis U has raised over $100,000 for the charity. Twice a year WLRA has a "To kill a DJ" week where students raise money for the charity.
We are Big Burrito Radio (heard on WLRA Saturday mornings at 10AM CST), wanted to come up with different ways of raising money for the charity. We started out doing collections at music events. Then 4 years ago we came up with Island Dreams (www.islanddreamscards.com). Island Dreams is a charity art card set that itself has raised over $10,000 in the past 3 years.
Last year I caught the crypto-currency bug. I thought what a great idea to take crypto and exchange it for BTC for the Children's Hospital! So here we have Crypto for kids!

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

the price must go high, or there is really no reason to mine sys at all. Diff  is like 170 and  the price is so low, you will get like 10 Cent with 4MHS - electricity  costs.
If you really like SYSCOIN, you should   mine on clevermining pool and then exchange BTC for  SYS, it is MUCH more profitable;)

Thanks to all!!  I'm hoping maybe we can get .5 or 1 BTC worth, I would love to hand over a HUGE SYScoin check to them in November.  A photo op and good press for the coin!!

Publishing this as pre-release:

My modded Sysmarket

Actual features:

  • View available Items of the Blockchain market
  • View available Aliases
  • View available certificate issuers
  • Add an Item to the market (You need to send sys to the wallet first as its empty)

Still not fully working, but hopefully on about the weekend:

  • Dividend calculation based on offers. Returns usable sendmany string to conduct the dividends

The github repo is: https://github.com/JohnDorien1/sysmarket

Ideas and contributions, aswell as buys of my offer (offeraccept dd9a408322642a36 5 && offerpay <result ID> <Your Sys address>) are highly welcome!
Also tip danosphere as its based on his first work and he helped me a lot with some bugs that encountered!

GREAT WORK!! This is what I'm talking about- this has be very excited Smiley Looking forward to getting off work so i can really dig into it!

BTW- for those that are getting a "blockchain corrupt, rebuild?" message after closing and opening their wallet- this is an intermittent local wallet issue (doesn't impact network, doesn't negatively impact wallet, just an annoyance that should be fixed). Say "ok" to the prompt, the wallet may hang; close and reopen and it will resync and you'll be all set.

We are working on getting a patch out for this today, we noticed it late last night and updated github but then realized this morning this issue was intermittent so we're working on a small update for later tonight. Its not a mandatory update at this point. We'll make it clear once the update is available.
Dan-Can you give a detailed time plan?

Has SYS taken a look at this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762346 SuperNet ?
They're only looking to take on coins that are unique and bring something new to the table and i think SYS would fit this perfectly?

Could be a great opportunity if it was to become part of the coins that make it onto there.
