Wallet just wont sync.

The wallet has not had any reported issues to sync, please join us on freenode at #syscoin for troubleshooting Smiley

Thanks for responding.. I will try and do freenode, dont have tons of troubleshooting time tho. It just sticks at 2 weeks to go. It also says nodes need to upgrade. Trying to figure it all out.

It looks like you might need to upgrade your wallet software to version 0.1.4 from post #1.

Wallet just wont sync.

Publishing this as pre-release:

My modded Sysmarket

Actual features:

  • View available Items of the Blockchain market
  • View available Aliases
  • View available certificate issuers
  • Add an Item to the market (You need to send sys to the wallet first as its empty)

Still not fully working, but hopefully on about the weekend:

  • Dividend calculation based on offers. Returns usable sendmany string to conduct the dividends

The github repo is: https://github.com/JohnDorien1/sysmarket

Ideas and contributions, aswell as buys of my offer (offeraccept dd9a408322642a36 5 && offerpay <result ID> <Your Sys address>) are highly welcome!
Also tip danosphere as its based on his first work and he helped me a lot with some bugs that encountered!

GREAT WORK!! This is what I'm talking about- this has be very excited Smiley Looking forward to getting off work so i can really dig into it!

BTW- for those that are getting a "blockchain corrupt, rebuild?" message after closing and opening their wallet- this is an intermittent local wallet issue (doesn't impact network, doesn't negatively impact wallet, just an annoyance that should be fixed). Say "ok" to the prompt, the wallet may hang; close and reopen and it will resync and you'll be all set.
We are working on getting a patch out for this today, we noticed it late last night and updated github but then realized this morning this issue was intermittent so we're working on a small update for later tonight. Its not a mandatory update at this point. We'll make it clear once the update is available.
Dan-Can you give a detailed time plan?

Just running on testnet at the moment. Want this to be 100% solid before a release.

Wallet hasnt worked for me today was ok yesterday and running latest version. When i opened it today it said the Database was corrupt so had to rebuild it. Once that was done i closed and reopened it and this time it just hung. Had to delete the folder (except wallet.dat) and it is now re syncing. Running win 8.1

As we have said multiple times. We are aware some people have issues with the QT-Wallet.. We already have a fix for this, but are running extensive testing on this in order to make sure it is fixes it for good.
If you see this issue, do not close, open, close, open etc.. Wait until fix is out..

Got some spare SYScoin sitting around doing nothing?  Since I'm an active SYS miner (and supporter), please check out www.cryptoforkids.com

For the past decade WLRA Radio/Lewis University (Romeoville, IL) holds a bi-annual fundraiser to benefit Advocate Hope Children's Charities. So far Lewis U has raised over $100,000 for the charity. Twice a year WLRA has a "To kill a DJ" week where students raise money for the charity.
We are Big Burrito Radio (heard on WLRA Saturday mornings at 10AM CST), wanted to come up with different ways of raising money for the charity. We started out doing collections at music events. Then 4 years ago we came up with Island Dreams (www.islanddreamscards.com). Island Dreams is a charity art card set that itself has raised over $10,000 in the past 3 years.
Last year I caught the crypto-currency bug. I thought what a great idea to take crypto and exchange it for BTC for the Children's Hospital! So here we have Crypto for kids!
please donate need to raise 20k to show our support..if you donate please say you have so i know we av reached 20k THANKS

Thanks,
Marty - I could see my donation input and also output - I gather that you are collecting all donations in a different wallet?

Right now the wallet is on Bittrex.  I know I have some coins waiting on Criptsy that I'm going to throw into the pile.  Should I keep the coins in the wallet on Bittrex or create an address on a wallet on my computer?  I want the community to be able to track what is happening with the coins.
There will come a time I have to sell the coins for BTC and convert to USD.  But the Hospital will know that the donations were in SYS.

BTW right now there are 52,524 SYS in the account, I have another 7000+ waiting to transfer from Criptsy.

Hey guys

This might be answered already but a pain to browse through hundreds of pages of posts.

Just wondering I got the email about the merchandise investors get. I already submitted the form that was on the syscoin website with my name, address, wallet address...etc

Do I still have to reply to the email with the required info again?

Also do we have to still have all the coins we purchased during the IPO in order to get the investor products?

Thanks.

If the wallet address we send donations to is directly to Bittrex and if donations start coming in rapidly, Bittrex may lock the wallet due to excessive activity.

If the above is true, change the donation address to your local PC address, run the wallet and don't shut it down unless you absolutely must. Then, when the next wallet version becomes available, make a full backup of the Syscoin folder onto a USB stick prior to installing the update.

MM has nothing to do with "boosting" anything.. For Syscoin we want a stable blockchain, that was always the logic behind MM.
