But you are thinking one-sided (your own side - not the coin side).

Merge mining spreads the hashing around, alleviating the probability of a 51% attack. It also gets more people aware and involved.
If you don't mind trading in weak coins, there's plenty to choose from. If you want to deal with a coin that has a better established base of people vested (it's a word and I used it right) in continued success, this one is for you.

The price is partly due to FUD, partly due to shortsighted people, and partly due to unforeseen issues that delayed the launch and affected the early ability to transfer coins among exchanges.

Find me another new coin that has the backing of good dedicated developers, backed by a company that promised resources if needed (and proved it), and has such a strong interest among many of us (not you) this long after launch. I've seen several other new coins die on the day they were born, in just the past week or so. And several coins killed by the greed of their own scamming creators.

Maybe you aren't yet qualified to do any thinking. But don't stop trying - you'll get there.

I think merge mining was a big mistake..look at the  diff and the price now...
[/quote  best quote of the day..merge mining keeps the cogs going ..no mining.no market on the blockchain..no point in syscoin developing anything else
Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

I agree with you. People are merge mining doge and litecoin as a primary and syscoin as secondary.

Merge mining can indeed become parasitic, at least psychologically. There's a solution for this Myriad has been working on called Mutli vPoW. Instead of only using one auxPoW algorithm, as is the case presently w/ Syscoin, there are multiple PoW algos and only some of them are merge minable. The algorithms that are merged mine have smaller block rewards (called block tips) than the algorithms that can't be merged mined. This helps create a better balance and prevents some of the downward pressure.

Here's a more in-depth write up: http://myriadplatform.org/multi-vpow/

Myriad's also now merge mining Syscoin on all of its scrypt p2pools. I've been holding my mined Syscoins. I like what I see so far. I've been advocating a lot of these features to be implemented in Myriadcoin's network by way of merge mined sidechains.

merge mining wont bring price down.. it keeps blockchain more safe from attacks ..plus helps struggling coins keep their blockchain going..no matter what coin you mine. if their is a use for your coin..then that becomes value...lets look at bitcoin.. if you still mine bitcoin and no one used it how much do you think it be worth nothing..its because you can spend it to buy goods cars houses  gamble  even go to space with it .so if syscoin come up with some idea that no one has ..and make syscoin the only way to buy that product or use on apps and games software then were on to a winner..

remember as well    moolah is releasing funds to devs in small portions to keep them going.. and plus to make sure they don,t run off with bitcoin..if they would of got the whole payment things would of moved faster a lot faster...but don,t blame moolah its much safer this way ..to save investors and save moolahs  rep . and you get a better job done when time is taken.. rush jobs are bad jobs..

Moolah is responsible for these tickets there isn't anything we/our team can do to address this. Maybe someone from their org can post help for you...

Market seems to gain confidence just before all the things scheduled for next week.
Volume is rising, price is rising.
Now I am getting confident that Sys is a good investment.

Same here. Earned some BTC on swing trading but now it is too risky. The coin might spike anytime now.

Now the market price is lower than ICO price even stage one, it's a good time to buy

Moolah is the escrow. That means we have NO control over that part of the process. But do PM me ALL the details and I'll see if I can push them a bit
