I found two blocks, (both rather small amounts) however I found the blocks right after restarting the wallet. Sure this is not a coincidence?

I have also experienced this numerous times. finding blocks right after restart.

Also after restart my balance usually updates to the correct amounts.

And we are not the only ones, This is exactly why I wanted more testing done on POST.
There should not be increased chances of finding a block when you restart the wallet.
I think 3 members here already reported this.

Although last night, before bed, I noticed that all of a sudden my wallet said it needed to catch up on over 1000 blocks (I was on block 835,273 at the time). It seemed like somehow my wallet got on the 1.5 chain?   Not sure how that could possibly happen unless whoever started running the 2.0.1 version is trying to subvert those of us running 2.0.3 somehow to get us back on the 1.5 chain.

Anyway, when I got up this morning, I was still in sync to 2.0.3 which is showing block 835,278. Still, it was weird...

I had exactly the same thing happen to my wallet a couple of hours ago. It said in sync and suddenly i had over 1000 blocks to catch up. weird

Another restart and another interest payment about 3 minutes after of about 2 Solarcoins. then wallet freezes and i have to restart 2 times to get it back working.

Update= after 4 restarts and 4 found blocks there is definitly a bug in the wallets and most likely why we don't have 1 block per minute

Update= now it says my wallet is over 2045 blocks behind and is syncing. And now its ok again a few minutes later.

What is that 0.8.6 wallet showing on the network list? One node only but it says it's the same protocol as 1.5? Where did it come from?

And 26 wallets are still on 1.5.

2.1.  In 2.0.3, a cap of 10% on the interest rate has been introduced, right? The pop-up box next to the Staking circle shows a number for the interest rate going up to 99%, again. Where is this number actually coming from and what does it represent?

Next questions follow, but it is important to have answers for 2 , 2.1, 3 so that I post additional questions on those.

I need to confirm that mining is still going on and at what height.  840000 gives me time to sort it out. But yes, if there's consensus to make it 832000 or 833000, I'm ok with issuing a new release.

Concerning ending PoW at 840000.  If we leave it at 840000, this gives me time to debug the CryptoID issue, and it gives me time to setup another testnet to verify the changes.

On a personal note, I was supposed to leave on a two day rock climbing trip today. I've postponed it to tomorrow, so that gives me time for a much needed break, and all of the above.

I'm ok with whatever the consensus is, though.

PoW mining is not at 840000 yet, so we have not reached the block height agreed upon in the consensus we did have.

Now question 5:
5. How much time do you need to debug and fix the CryptoID issue? Can it be done before PoW block 840000?

Why is this so important: the BlockChain explorer is an integral part of the system. One of the reasons for the concesus we had about block 840000 was that you said you think you will be able to make it work by then. Only when it works everyone can verify the numbers and overlook the network stats, thus control the transition to PoST process. When it doesn't work, the SLR blockchain is practically unoperational for the outside world.

6. How much time is needed for you and the MiningPoolHub to sort out and fix the issue with programmatically transitioning from PoW to PoST?

Once again - all these were issues you brought up for solving, and we did have a consensus for block 840000 so that you can have them solved BEFORE the transition to PoST.

The "Earnable matured interest" in the pop-up box next to the Staking circle is actually the Time-active fraction with range of 0 to 1 (0% to 100%)

It is a confusing label carried over from VeriCoin.
An attempt will be to display the interest rate if it does not consume to much CPU power.
If not, the confusing label "Earnable matured interest" will be removed.

With no blockchain explorer around, I bet the 2.0.1 version is the way to go if anyone wants to get into the billions of SLR within a day or two, without being noticed.

I assume you would shut down the 1.5 wallet first and back-up your wallet.dat file to a safe place before installing the new version.

Now my wallet says IN SYNC, EARNING STAKE TIME.
I assume I have to wait until the next block is found until it starts staking? or why does it say that. I would have thought I don't need to ear stake time since I have already been staking since a few hours

And just one more question. Why does my spendable amount change all the time, now I could not even spend 99% of my coins. (it says spendable: 0.55 SLR)

I should always be able to spend the coins I already have, this is very confusing..

Thanks it looks like when I installed it picked up on my old wallet.  It is syncing right now and i'm seeing my transactions showing up.  Seems that I didn't have to do anything.

I think it would start making more sense to us if we could get to the 1 block per minute stage. When the blocks are taking two hours each, it's hard to get a full picture. I have a feeling it is using older coins in your wallet to stake first, not just the whole stack at once. Kind of like easing into it or something. I'm really not sure. Corather has a better sense (from experience) what staking tends to be like. Perhaps he will chime in.

Time will speed up as more 2.03 wallets come on-line.
