All it is going to take is a few people to step up and buy the cheap solarcoins and then more people will take notice and claims will start comming in. Higher prices will attract all types of good attention.
If bitcoins never got over 5 cents do you think anyone would really know about it today besides a few?
I plan to give out solarcoin paper wallets to all my family this Christmas imagine if you did that when bitcoins where under 5 cents.
Buy/hold/claim/stake repeat...
Agreed. It always starts with the speculators and traders. The bitcoin example is great. Especially because Solarcoin is in a very similar position as bitcoin back then where almost nobody knew about it. You know what gives me the most hope? The fact that Solarcoin is pretty much only accepted on one exchange ( So there is potential to be added on more exchanges...), and i'm really relieved that it's not Cryptsy But seriously this coin has so much potential and it has been climbing up the coinmarketcap list. Currently at rank 64. We have been around 50 already. I remember when Solarcoin was on the second or third page of coinmarketcap. between rank 150 and 250. With most other altcoins dying right now I do see a scenario where SLR climbs so high up the marketcap list that people won't have a chance to ignore it any longer. Seriously though look at all the crap that still has a higher market cap than Solarcoin. Actually I can't believe it! We should be right under Litecoin or at least 5-10 places under it not less. I too will be giving away Solarcoins for christmas Can't think of a better present I think the only thing holding up this coin is the pre-mine. I know it only used for claims but I think if there was a way to burn the pre-mine automate and verify claims the price would go through the roof and there would be an arms race to produce as much solar energy as possible. Just my take. You can see my countless posts arguing for this approach. I have come up with several different ways that make it even better on top of burning the 98Billion. Only time will tell if my options will gain traction but I believe Solarcoin will not implement those since it is based on Networking and simplistic value concepts that only time and exposure can promote. It is a long term project.

Solarcoin (§ SLR) are like airmiles. Each 1 Mhw generated gets you §1 free. Solarcoins can purchase what others will trade: USD,BTC, Soy candles..etc.

Sounds like a reasonable idea. I will reach out and start the process. Nick

Great. This is why I love Solarcoin. People Listen to the community and things are happenning behind the scenes keep up the great work! By the way I also think we should keep the main discussion on here at bitcointalk, and then have slack for security!

''Fees: Fees are set as follow: Deposits: 0.25% ?? Withdrawals: 1% Staking: 5% (before say "hey, 5% is too much!!", please read more about how staking fees are shared among all users) '' 5%??? Seriously?? I like the idea but The fees are way too high and the risk is way too big. I would not even do this if there were no fees.

The problem is emulating BitCoin will only emulate its problems. I outlined in Slack how to attempt to achieve a truly Utopian vision, but I guess they locked us out of Slack since it was too radical a concept. Not sure what needed to be secured in Slack, my ideas? If so, then lets go at it on a secure setup with the devs since I have found some new ways to make my ideas work. Not sure why no one even entertained the ideas enough to interject their opinions other than 1 person and 1 +1 Thumbs up. I wrote the ideas to be dissected and corrected by the community. I will only give one last opportunity and then I may move on to GREENER pastures. I have discovered new ways to make the project work but it requires me stepping outside the current model. I really don't want to compete with SolarCoin but Crypto needs a fresh start without exchanges. For Crypto to not become manipulated and wrought with greed and profit motives to sustain a market, all that needs to be done is some math and overall participation but either Trust individually or Trust a CO-Op type scenario. I guess technically if no one wants to go forward or even gives an inkling that they would budge I could make a coin that you can later sell your SLR to buy into. So either way it will be a win win. I just hope the Devs see the Light... Sun intended! If you have read my posts in Slack you know I am trying to help and only mean well. You also know the secret to the final success of Crypto since it is based on Power. Trust and perception will only take the few who are sick and tired of the exchanges and the despair they integrated within the disparity of winners and losers among cheaters and thieves.
