Yes, censorship of opinions hasn't helped humans in history. So it isn't a good thing for the future. So I would just make a you-tube channel and talk about all of your valid points on that or something similar. The solar-empire is making awesome podcasts on soundcloud and that is really helping people also. Well done solarcoiner! Great thoughts there! Best, -lfloorwalker I just got banned from the Bitcoin Reddit because I expressed my belief in Solarcoin and how it will coexist alongside bitcoin. I didn't try to pump Solarcoin, just wanted to get the word out. Im sure a lot of people would be interested if only they knew about the project. But every post just get's instantly censored.
Think about that for a while. They banned me although I was talking about bitcoin and expressing an opinion about the future of Bitcoin and Solarcoin.
I think it's really sad because that's not the way reddit is supposed to work. All I did was express an opinion . I really don't see the need to delete my post and ban me.
But that got me thinking. It seems like the moderators see all altcoin's as competition towards Bitcoin. In my opinion that's the wrong mindset. Solarcoin isn't competing with Bitcoin, it's simply coexisting alongside BTC. I like to think of it like this: In a way every altcoin is a gateway to bitcoin. For me Solarcoin has brought back the good old memories from back in the days when I used to mine BTC and LTC with my GPU rigs. Not only does it just feel awesome to see the stakes coming in just like on a mining pool back in the days but I actually feel like im making a decent amount of coins that could be worth a lot more in the future.... Its a Gateway to Bitcoin because I can sell the Solarcoin's I made staking on the market and receive Bitcoins in return. But I think it's a lot more interesting to hold on to the staked coins considering I believe in the Project.
Back to reddit and it's moderators: They have a totally "flawed" mindset. All I can think about that this is the kind of behaviour that gives Solarcoin even more credibility! Because they are totally shitting themselves that a coin like SLR could potentially grow to a really large user base and become huge! In my opinion that's just extremely childish and I don't support the belief that SLR or other Altcoins are harming the Bitcoin ecosystem. People have the right to know about Solarcoin and I really believe it's only a matter of time until a LOT of new people are going to join the project and start staking! But we need to spread the word without giving the wrong impression.

Bring it on. My bags are ready to get filled If you think your bags can be filled easily it ain't gonna happen. There will be no cheap coins soon.

I filled them up a long time ago. Just saying I won't hesitate to scoop up some more coins if the price continues to decline. I agree that SLR won't stay this cheap for very long... And yeah that's one if the great things about Solarcoin. There are not many sellers and the market is thin. It might be easy to sell a lot but buying back a large amount is very difficult without making the price move.. edit: I already shorted when someone told me I couldn't at around 0.00025555 bought back at 0.00005555 and 0.00010555. So im fine but thank you for your tip

What makes this exchange so special? Is it decentralized? And whats up with these Lykke coins? Thx

It's totally rediculous. As if Solarcoin was harming bitcoin which it clearly isn't. Bitcoin is untouchable which is the whole point. It got there first and it's going to be around for a while (Hopefully) But to straight out ban me from posting to r/btc is totally pathetic. They are litteraly violating their own agreement terms by removing posts. Why dont they just let the users upvote and downvote like it's supposed to work? What a bunch of childish idiots. I hope everyone who reads this understands that nothing you see on r/BTC can be taken seriously anymore and you only see what they want you to see. I just can't wrap my head around this. I never thought reddit was actually being this heavily censored...Someone really needs to kick these moderators off redit or risk having another webiste take over because this is some real BS

Thx Some of the unique technical aspects of the exchange, its a swiss registered and regulated exchange for direct trading into fiat. It uses colored coins for security. Its being set-up by a veteran of high frequency retail traditional forex exchanges and it focuses on tokens related to social/environmental issues.

Solarcoin (§ SLR) are like airmiles. Each 1 Mhw generated gets you §1 free. Solarcoins can purchase what others will trade: USD,BTC, Soy candles..etc.

new wallet candidate is up for test review. Minor changes including an easier interface for the import private key function which is useful for paper wallets. http://www.solarcoin.org/downloads/ pull down version 2.1.5 Note this is a test wallet. Always practice good crypto hygiene: backup your wallet.dat file, ideally offline in a separate location and place.

You might need to remove all of the files in the registry...I'm not sure what the best way is to do that but I think there are a few apps that can remove software completely (including all of the registry files) Other than that I cant think of anything else

For those interested in progress on the Lykke Exchange here is a quote from the lead dev: The short term plan is the following: - Lykke will issue colored coins for SolarCoin: each colored coin will represent IOU to deliver 1 SolarCoin in SolarCoin blockchain - Lykke will develop a cloud service ('vending machine'), which will be used to deposit/withdraw SolarCoins - Participating members of the SolarCoin community will form initial liquidity cushion by sending coins to this vending address - Lykke will issue the correspondent amount of SC colored coins and transfer them to hot wallet of the market maker - Lykke will also send the equivalent amount of FX colored coins (USD, EUR, BTC) to the same hot wallet - Market making algorithm will be configured to quote double sided liquidity (parameters tbd, may be inferred from historical price data of SolarCoin) - Participants of the Lykke Exchange will be able to trade SolarCoin colored coins, cash out colored coins to their SolarCoin address, cash in SolarCoins to Lykke Wallet This is from the solarCoin channel on the Lykke slack. https://lykkex.slack.com/messages/solarcoin/

Hi all,
Looking for some assistance, hope someone here can help. I've been staking for a while now on an old Windows 7 laptop of mine but Sunday past the region in which I live suffered a power outage for around 10 hours. The laptop has been running off mains power as the battery is no good, consequently the laptop was also down for these 10 hours.
Once power was restored I fired up the laptop and the SolarCoin wallet successfully but the wallet has been stuck on Syncing ever since. I've tried a rescan but this still results in the wallet remaining in Syncing.
I've tried installing the current 2.1.1 wallet on an alternative Windows 7 PC and using a wallet backup, again the wallet will not sync fully and seems to get "stuck" at the same point each time. Both the PC and laptop have network connections, so connectivity does not appear to be the issue. If I copy the contents of AppData/Roaming/SolarCoin from the laptop to the PC I also get the same result.
I've disabled staking on the wallet to see if this has any effect, the wallet still remains as Syncing and all I see is the Blocks Remaining count slowly increase as other nodes find blocks.
Looking at debug.log I'm currently showing a consistent stream of ORPHAN BLOCK messages for a number of IPs - not sure if this is related.
Using checkwallet in console shows "wallet check passed" : true.
I'm stuck for ideas, so any suggestions are greatly welcome and appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
