Does anyone know why Bitminter is showing the difficulty and at approx 1,913,000,000,000 but Bitcoin wisdom is showing it at approx 1,590,000,000,000 and scheduled to go down? They normally match.

Bitcoin Wisdom is also showing 11 days to adjust when it should be 10 hours or so. Looks like it is not updating. from btc.com looks like we will be going up about 15% to 2.2T unless block generation goes down in thenext 10 hours.

There is a (POSABLE) new miner out called Dragonmint miner. I saw it on Ebay for preorder and on Bitcointalk. It's supposed to hit 16TH. If it is legit it's great for mining and it's not Bitmain's. Launch date is March/April My advice is to wait and see before putting any money into a preorder.
If you trust that Dragonmint is the real deal, Is anyone interested in a group buy. I would like 2 more machines but I don't need 5. I might be able to sell one more.

The Dragonmint miner is real! I have had physical contact Smiley

I might get in on this, just a little further down the road. My wife is ready to murder me because I bought a couple miners. I've rarely been at the top, but I'm glad to see Fefox and even superchargingmachine are dedicated and sticking around. I'm hoping to be up in the top 25 consistently once I get all my rigs set up. I have had my two S9's running for about a week now (Thanks Bitmain) and my other two S9's just showed up but I'm waiting on PSU cables (Thanks Amazon!). Hopefully tomorrow I'll have 3 of the S9's hashing here and the fourth will transition after I get enough BTC to cover electricity for the month from Slush or BTC Pool.  I have to flip enough to cover the 4 in case this is one of those dreaded 90% blocks we're messing with.

Anyway, just wanted to say I'm glad to be here and glad I found the forum.

Stick with it. With 4 machines you will make good money. I watch Bitmain every day. I just can bring myself to pay Amazon prices.

New S9 batch available, if anyone's in need. I didn't get an email this time, but saw a sponsored post on FaceBook of all places.

Their site shows stock.

A hurdle with Bitmain now though is they're only taking payment in Bitcoin Cash?

Congrats! I'm still on the "show me that we make profits" status with my wife. Once I actually start knocking out some debt with our miners, then she'll be on board with bringing a few more into the picture. Of course by then the miners will be $3,000 from Bitmain and 4 months out I'm sure Sad

You jumped in at a tough time. It's all negative news in the Media right now. Obviously, I still think things will recover.  But, it sure feels better when every day is a new ATH, like back in mid-December.

It's always negative news in the media, it has been since I started mining and bitcoin was less than $200.  I hope the media keeps reporting like they have been.  Tongue

Bitmain's newest miner.

This is going to make some people very happy if they get it early enough.

Antminer A3, to mine Blake 2b. Early calculations are:

Time Frame   BLC Coins                  BTC (BLC/BTC at 0.00000368)   USD (BTC at $12,056.83)   Power Cost (in USD)   Pool Fees (in USD)   Profit (in USD)
Hourly             335.91325106                    0.00123616                     $14.90                                    $0.13                      $0.00                   $14.78
Daily                    8061.91802553            0.02966786                     $357.70                                    $3.06                      $0.00                 $354.64
Weekly            56433.42617870            0.20767501                     $2,503.90                                   $21.42                      $0.00                 $2,482.48
Monthly            241857.54076585            0.89003575                     $10,731.01                              $91.80                      $0.00                $10,639.21
Annually        2942600.07931778          10.82876829                    $130,560.62                           $1,116.90                      $0.00               $129,443.72

Yes, I'm sure someone will notice "But you didn't even include the pool fees". You're right...I didn't. I'm sorry if I wasn't accurate enough. This is a good rough picture. Yes I know the difficulty will go up, yes I know you can't expect to get any of these returns unless Bitmain doesn't test them before they ship. Anyway, it's out there...and if you didn't get an S9, you can get this right now. I'm literally in the hole in my bank account or I would be purchasing one. Just because I can't have one doesn't mean you guys can't. Best of luck with ordering. There is a buy limit of one per account at the moment, so they might last a tad longer than the others. If someone is feeling a little loan-y, let me know.

EDIT: Currently sold out. Sorry if you guys missed it. Blake2B difficulty is about to explode!

Hi,

I am new to mining and new to Bitminter. I am mining with my S7 in Bitminter pool for weeks but didnt received any BTC yet. I read that it pays when it finds block, but when?!

Is Bitminter good for me with an old S7 should find another pool which pays faster? (I have to pay the electricitiy bill soon)

Thanks,
uristn

First of all, welcome to the pool.

Secondly, many users struggle with the same question on a long block such as the one that we are currently mining. You can track under Statistics - Shifts (work effort) which shifts are currently available for pay. You'll also notice the most recent two shifts that fell off the pay availability did so with a zero payout. Unfortunately, this sometimes happens, but it's less common than I feared when I arrived.

As far as your S7, you will be very happy when a block is found and you are paid, and then another block is found quickly and you are payed twice for the same work. Sometimes even more.

As I stated earlier, many users struggled with the same question...until their first block. Then they were hooked. PPLNSG pools are the best, and BitMinter is one of if not THE best pool to be a part of.

I personally have 4 miners, two of which are at other pools until I earn enough BTC for the electric and then they will be here and at other PPLNSG pools. Hopefully you can stick with it here as once a user leaves, the amount of their reward begin to fall off the current shifts available for payment. Then you have to mine again to get rid of all those zeroes and it's just not worth it! 1 S7's electric cost shouldn't be too much, and I would encourage you to just cover it in USD this month and continue with BitMinter.

Best of luck!
