Looks like I got into the mining game far too late. Just bought an s4 to boost my earnings but doubt it will be worth it even with the free electricity.  Undecided

Is there a block notification?

Currently in three places:

The live stats (full size) page; you can enable "announce new blocks with a sound effect". It plays a casino sound when a block is found.

The IRC chat room; #bitminter on Freenode. MintBot announces new blocks.

Yo app (https://www.justyo.co/); send a yo to BITMINTED and you will receive a yo when a block is found.

Gentlemen,

I am late to this topic.

I just try the Bitminter Pool and have some questions.

Can somebody explain me, whichj perks i should activate and which settings I should use for a worker with 2Th/s ?
I am little confused about the possibilities and settings the pool is offering.

Especially the minimum difficulty to be set. Do I need the easy minting perk ?

Thank you and excuse for the probably stupid questions...)

Just leave them all as they are. The easy mining perk doesn't mean you will earn any more money. Leave them all as they are and enjoy the decent share rate when we get blocks.  Wink

So, you mean no need for the easy minting perk ?

And leave all other values as they are ?

Do you use the prepay perks ?
Or no need at all for them ?

I use the ones that are selected when you first join. I haven't touched them. Definitely use the prepay one though.

If someone doesn't mind, could you list the perks that are set as the default, please?

Does the removal of perks decrease the automatic donations, or does that need to be changed back manually?
If the automatic donation needs to be reset manually, what was it by default?

Is there anyway to reset the perks to default automatically?

Thanks!

Very Interesting information about which is the BEST POOL:

http://organofcorti.blogspot.com/?view=flipcard

Go to the 3rd one:  February 14th 2016 Mining Pool Statistics and scroll down to the charts Past Week, 4 weeks, 26weeks, 52 weeks.

That data is such a minor snippet though- February 7th-through February 13th (not even a full week). How is 6 days worth of mining relevant to performance anywhere? Need at least one whole months worth of data to gather what is really happening currently. Case in point, BC monster solved one block february 6th and one february 15th,  Im sure even more for the bigger pools as well.
