Hi. Dunno if this is the right place. But since the new round started (like an hiur ago)  I fail to get work updates from Bitminter. Is anyone else experiencing this?

For Info: I am running two Antminer U2s (the "old" 2 GH/s usb sticks) using BFGMiner 3.10.0. Worked just fine until about an hour ago.

Which URL are you mining with? If you are using getwork or getblocktemplate, please switch to stratum. Getwork/GBT support is being shut down on the first of august.

That means switching from http://mint.bitminter.com:8332 to stratum+tcp://mint.bitminter.com:3333

You may also want to upgrade to a new bfgminer version - 3.10 is very old.

Hi. I am mining on stratum. It's all fine. I didn't check on things for two weeks and missed that the minimum diff was raised. Obviously the U2s take longer than before solving diff 64 shares. This leads to a different output from BFGMiner. Before there were a lot of solved accepted shares reported with the occasional request for work in between now it is the other way around a lot of work request with the occasional solved share. So that is as should be expected.

Creating a Bitcoin client that fully implements the network protocol is extremely difficult. Bitcoin Core and some of its derivatives are the only known safe implementations of full nodes. Some other projects attempt to compete, but it is not recommended to use such software for anything serious. (Lightweight clients like Electrum and Bither are OK.)

Maintenance 2015.07.25 at 10:00 UTC to 11:00 UTC.

During this maintenance miners will be disconnected one time, but able to reconnect after 2-3 seconds. Your miner should reconnect automatically after a few seconds, and you should not really notice this.

The website will have some downtime, expected to be less than 30 minutes, within the maintenance window.

Apologies for any inconvenience. I will try to make this as quick as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Steam OpenID (steamcommunity.com) is down. If you use Steam login at Bitminter and you need to log in before their server is up then use the contact form on bitminter.com to get help.

Yeah, you can see how it was dragging its feet registering work for a while, and then speeding up again. All work was registered though.

Yeah the "score" was correct. Just wanted to warn you since you did some updates.

I wasn't anxious about it Tongue

How often does this happen?

Could you try us2.bitminter.com:3333 or eu1.bitminter.com:3333 and see if that is more stable for you than mint.bitminter.com:3333 ?

Maybe once in 24 hours. Added another Miner and Worker today and the new one keeps disconnecting. But just seen your suggestion on the Stratum so set that one to the new worker.

I am also having failovers but only in the last couple hours I think.  But they failed to a backup pool, came back, failed again, came back and then failed a third time.  I have setup us2.bitminter.com:3333 as the first backup so we'll see if they fail off of mint.bitminter.com:3333 to that.  I have a third backup on another pool.
