so I will not get anything before 1 month or ??  I have kinda low Hashrate, 78.Th

I am thinking if you go back, oh 10 pages and read each post, you will know how the system works. If not, then you're well I'll be nice Smiley

This new difficulty increase seems to have impacted block results a bit, sigh.

A bit? hehe  I started mining here a week ago.  In this week I have made about as much as I was making in a day and a half on other pools.  I keep trying to remain optimistic, but I'm losing out bad so far.  I haven't quit yet, though.  This is a tough ride.

This last week has been very bad luck.  No reflection on the pool or current difficulty.  Just plain rotten horrid luck.

You will get payouts for each block found.  The only way to know how good the pool is run for a month at least.  Then you will be a part of the really good stretches along with the really bad stretches and you will see the advantage of getting your share of the transactions fees along with the block payouts.  It all evens out over time.

Actually the pools luck has been VERY VERY bad for some time, several months now...
But what makes it far worse is the TIME loss when suffering a string of bad luck...High Varience...
There is virtually no chance that we will ever see enough of a good luck swing to compensate for the loss.

I joined with 100Th 1 week ago and results are devastatingly low..I have received some payouts but I'm at 20% of expectancy.
But again it is the TIME factor that makes this devastating..

The pool hash rate is just too low..
Arguments that say Kano is better in the long run are ridiculous & deceiving because you will need wait half the age of the Universe to balance out the bad luck runs..And there is no guarantee that you will EVER come close to "Expected blocks"

Larger pools like slush are indeed more expensive...and yes the rewards per block much lower but MOST IMPORTANTLY so is the TIME loss factor of high variance greatly reduced.
This is a case were indeed SIZE MATTERS..very much so..
TIME IS MONEY, brutally so in this game...

It's time for me to find a pool that FINDS blocks more CONSISTENTLY...MORE FREQUENTLY...

Stop following the herd mentality..

the math to support this is so simple irrefutable and brilliantly demonstrative..

Take two cases....5 block rewards from 2 pools.

Pool A: you get 1 block/year so 5 years 5 blocks..
BUT you get YEARLY rewards to pay expenses and extract profit.

Pool B: you get 1 block every 5 years...
You must now endure 5 years of expenses before you have any chance to see profit...

Most people can't afford this scenario and it's actually very UNREALISTIC and has far worse implications and risks ...
Pool B WILL FAIR FAR WORSE because of the increase of difficulty and breakdowns of equipment and added hash rate and introduction of next gen more efficient equipment.

The rewards systems of each pool makes fair comparison much more difficult..

Fools are easily dissuaded by experienced users that are actually ignorant and incompetent.
Pools with SEEMINGLY high fees and risks may actually be FAR better when scrutinized by  a more refined discernment.
As described above...

Observation with Rose coloured glasses only leads to self delusion.
Opinion without investigation is the height of ignorance.

Just say how you really feel LOL

But what I was saying is that you can't judge a pool after 24 hours, or even a week. You need to mine for at least a month.

If you are desperate to watch the clock every second of the day, then yes go mine somewhere else where the variance is less than a month.

This pool has been delivering greater than 100% PPS results for month after month, only the past two months have been 1-5% lower than 100%

Mine @ pools that pay Tx fees & don't mine empty blocks :: kanopool :: ckpool ::

The variance on small pools suck.  There's no way around that.  If your expenses can't handle the variance, then you do what you have to do.

Long term, however, I believe you will come out ahead here.

If you can tolerate the variance.

Maybe able you get a "slush fund" from another pool, you'd consider coming back?  We could certainly use the hash here.

Actually the pools luck has been VERY VERY bad for some time, several months now...

There is nothing like joining a new pool when they are having a stretch of high variance.

I've been mining at various levels and in various pools for about 3 years. If you look back at past block rewards on Kano you will see that there can be 35% variance month to month in a pool of this size. So for every month of 135% PPS there will be a month of 65% PPS. You're going to have to mine in a pool of this size far longer than a month for the stats to even out. We have recently put upwards of 1PH into the pool and the luck over the last 3 weeks or so has been fairly low. Combined with pretty much having to babysit the farm 24/7 in this ridiculous October heat wave in Virginia, it's certainly been a tough patch watching the machines run hour after hour, sometimes day after day with no block reward. But that's raw mining. When we decided to give up our nice daily payouts in a huge PPS+ pool for a small 90PH PPLNS pool we knew the variance would be very high and we did our payout estimations for 1 year of mining. At 1PH we hope to take 40BTC out of Kano over the next year and it doesn't really matter when or how it comes. We invested $185,000 into our tiny little farm, and we are banking all the coin mined and subsidising the monthly power consumption as an additional capital expense. We made sure when we did this that those operational costs would be covered so it would not be necessary to cash out BTC along the way to pay for them. We've invested a great deal of resources into this and our choice to point our hash at Kano was far from arbitrary or based on past performance or favorable reports from other members. We didn't do it thinking we would 'try it out and see what happens over the next couple of weeks'. Here's our little PitA farm:

I have mined in slush and other PPLNS pools for periods of time before and their variance is just as high, it just gets evened out by the more frequent blocks at lower rewards. There is a point where a pool becomes so small relative to the total that payout variance will exceed any reasonable time frame set for a mining return but Kano is far from that level. While there is no guarantee, I hope Kano to give us a 2-3% higher return than in a PPS pool over the next year. I would suggest that it is not the math that is a problem, but the expectation of immediate results. I've run a few businesses over the years, and you have to have a certain focus to endure large capital expenditures that result in losses for 2, maybe 3 years before the business actually turns a profit and then takes 3 more years to recoupe the original capital expenditures and losses. Mining is very much the same way.

If you need more regular, smaller payouts, this is probably not the pool for you. Time is money for sure, but that too is relative. Playing the long game has always been the winner in my experience. Patience bro, patience.

Well said @ConnerM...I have been here for nearly 2000 blocks and I'm pretty close to 102% luck and 106% PPS overall.  I tried other pools before I came here and they were nowhere close.  If you look back to March 2016 when Kano starting posting the Monthly Statistics, the pool is 13.09 blocks ahead.  Yes, we've had 2 months in a row with less than expected blocks and October has started slow but the 3 months before that we got higher than expected blocks.  It's a patience game if you want to succeed pure and simple.
