Tested the great evil empires sales page to see if they had relented and were allowing bitcoin for purchase of their S9 miner.
Nope, they only offer the "other" coin. Not litecoin either.
Which is rude, as they list the amounts accepted in three different crypto coins, bitcoin, the "other" coin, and litecoin.
Then when you get to the payment section from which there is no retreat you only get the "other" coin as a payment option.
So I have yet another order on my orders page that will remain forever unpaid.
I was wondering why their S9s were remaining unsold for so long.
Now I know.
It's pretty clever of them, isn't it? Sell their coveted S9 accepting payment only by their not-so-coveted coin. That's one way to get movement in their coin. M

Block time here is no different here than any other pool. Expected luck is always 100%. At current difficulty, good for another day or so, 38TH/s should generate about 0.0089304 BTC a day. One thing about mining here is tx fees are also divvied up among the miners. M I have 50/TH and I do not get that much: Sept 29th: 0.02251825 I'm not entirely sure what you're saying? 0.02251825 is quite a bit greater than 0.0089304. M I read it as 0.08.... Sorry lol. I was like 0.08 yeah right! What am I doing wrong!

Sept 29th: 0.02251825
Hum, with 28TH i had only 0.00369561 by block. You mean by block or by day ? Not same.... I have two S9 on Kano, with arround 0.00434195 (arround) by block ( but decrease more hashrate there is) and two S9 on NC, with 0.075 each day. (without fee). One side, luck and many block are needed, another side, the profit is stable and each day.

Curious... How long before all of my hashing is counted? I am hashing at roughly 32 TH/s. The first block counted my average as about 1 TH/s. Understandable, because I had only been on the pool for a couple hours. The second block, after 12 hours, counted my average as 5TH/s. It seems like it will take 3 days to have my hashing counted in full. Just wondering how this works. Thanks

If you look at the help/payouts on the site it will explain the 5nd payout and the current length of the 5nd is 2days 23hours https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout

I had to take some Excedrin after reading that. hehe Ok, so my guess of about 3 days was right in any case. That seems very odd. I hope when the payout levels even out, they make up for the losses I am taking during these first 3 days.

I hope when the payout levels even out, they make up for the losses I am taking during these first 3 days. It's not really odd. When you stop mining, you will still get rewards for 3 days as you ramp down, which is nice as if you lose power/your miners stop working for a small period of time, you won't miss rewards during those times. Better than mining for 12 hours, suddenly losing internet connection a minute before a block is found, and lose the entire reward.

I hope when the payout levels even out, they make up for the losses I am taking during these first 3 days. How it actually works, as opposed to how you see a 'ramp', is that your payouts are simply spread out over 5ND which is currently about 3 days. You get paid for each share you submit, over the 3 days after you submit the share. What this does is reduce the variance in your payouts. Something like this if you think of it as submitting a share (s) each block: s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+ s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+ s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+ s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+ s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
If you consider the + to be the reward points when we find a block, the 5ND is simply the time it takes for the overlap of all '5' shares Of course you keep submitting shares, so the gap appearing at the bottom doesn't begin until you stop mining e.g.: s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+ s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+ s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+ s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+ s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+

Ah! Ok, I get it now! Thanks! Let me just say that math is not my strong point. The way Darkstar_ and Kano just explained it though, was a eureka moment.

Leave it unless there's a problem with your miner/mining source that can't handle the default. No recent miners have this problem.
