Looks like we have more hash pointed at the pool.  I want to take the time to thank everyone who has joined us for pointing their hash here.  I also want to thank you for remaining determined to keep your rigs here despite the attacks on the pool.

There trying too bring uss down so they can try to over run our luck its not going to work Smiley our 10ph  up agenst there 200+ ph and were rocking them out ..can't thank kano enough for what he has done to make this such a great pool !!

Couldn't agree more or said it better myself. I'm a new miner since November and joined Kano in December based on a post I saw of David's in the Slush thread around that time. After a short PM exchange between the two of us, I joined on Dec 9th and reached my full 5ND by the 13th.

I don't have many Bitcoins due to loosing them in a Titan deal, but I'm willing to donate a few days payout of my 11TH to help implement some sort of DDOS protection for the pool as I consider this place my home and my fellow miners as the crazy family you can't help but love lol...

I mean the pics of the chicken, baby Jesus and toddler powered S3s make me laugh every time I'm having a rough day, so i would be happy to donate to keep all us clowns here as you guys have no idea the positive affects your posts have on others as I know I'm not the only one!  Grin

Idea: allow only know ip- addresses - possible to prevent from ddos aso?

If yes, Kano can you build an DDNS - Link to grab our ip`s

pool is back since 10 min.

welll, I'm not sure IP filtering would necessarily work. DDOS's operate by overloading the firewall / server. Even if you did implement IP filtering, the firewall doing the filtering would still be getting inundated with packets that are being rejected. Each packet being rejected is using a bit of the processor and a bit of the bandwidth, it still would slow down things to a grind when it maxes out.

Having multiple paths to the pool from multiple locations with a redirection scheme that senses when one or more paths are under a DDOS attack automatically redirects to an open path... that would be ideal in my opinion

I noticed that Jan 8 ( the 7 block day) was Shirley Bassey's birthday.
Didn't she sing Goldfinger in the Bond movie?

I love this block..
On another note, I think the last Bond movie, Spectre was one of the WORST ever made. Boring story line, slow as HELL movie, no gadgets to talk about. Bah. Also the song IMO sucked arse. DUnno what those artsy fartsy morons think when they let it win an award. UGH..

Pretty much everyone I knwo that saw it thought the same as me too, which is weird. LOL

Go Big or Go Home.
