I haven't yet however I feel more that they use up your rental by going over and above your original hash purchase. I like MRR for the reason that I pay for the time and get the time. I know they might be more expensive but be able to switch pools and getting money back when the performance is under par is worth it.

I have, but I still think NH/WH withhold blocks. I wonder about that too, but wouldn't that mean mean blocks are getting solved elsewhere? Would have to check if increased nicehash rentals correlates to increase of blocks solved at some other specific pool. It's not like the hash provider pays out the solved block...

Block Sunday!
To be followed by a manic monday ! ... I just had to power down 5 avalon 6's too hot in the garage. it is warm today in nj Warm in va too. Thank god I have them in a datacenter. I had them here at the house before, what a furnace. I had two s7's in the garage to play with this winter but when it got to 40F the garage got just a wee bit hot. I have 14 in one rack at the datacenter and it has flames coming out of the back even with chilled air going in the front. Avalon 6 up for a winner shortly.

Why on the s7 gui does one s7 show foundblocks=1 and the other shows foundblocks=0 when they BOTH found a block? The best share is accurate. These are the last two blocks bladex found.
Found block, foundblocks=1

Is the Bitmain GUI accurate in reporting blocks found? Meaning had we been solo mining, it would have found a block? I have quite a few S7 that shows 1 block found, but I just figure it's funny accounting, and never took it seriously. But if it's actually accurate, then boy would I have done way better solo mining at CK pool.

The Found blocks on Bitmain firmware has random failure for multiple reasons. Firstly, the obvious: that their code hacks fail to handle "Best Share" properly is a good sign that they may not handle block detection properly either. You don't have this problem on avalons Secondly, as the cgminer README says, you can't mine multiple coins, so if the machine is ever connected to badhash and they ever switch your mining to anything but the current BTC blockchain (which you never know if or when they do that) then either of 2 things can happen: you could find a tiny diff block on who knows what alt-coin, and the bitcoin block handling can get screwed up also.

And now for the details of the March version of the AVALON6 GIVEAWAY For the month of March we will track all blocks and keep a record of the Highest and Lowest CDF blocks found. So at the end of the month we'll have 2 blocks, one with the Highest CDF and one with the Lowest CDF (if there are 2 the same CDF, I'll check them to extra decimal places to work out which is in the lead) Of those 2 leaders, one will win the Avalon A6 and the runner up I'll give my pool fee from the first pool block of April .. it's a bit over 0.125 BTC, not a lot but better than nothing - enough to buy a very nice bottle of wine or spirits The winner of the two will be chosen by the first block mined on the bitcoin network (i.e. anywhere not just here on kano.is) with a UTC time in April. If the last digit of the block's hash is even, the the highest CDF will get the Avalon6 If the last digit of the block's hash is odd, then the lowest CDF will get the Avalon6 (and by 'last digit' I mean all the way to the end on the right) The pool log "Block hash changed ..." message will decide if a block close to 00:00:00 UTC is in March or April Now for one other point that will require clarification in advance: The process of passing the winning Avalon6 on to the next winner in the event that the first winner can't accept it: If the winner is the High CDF, then the ordering is High 1st, Low 1st, High 2nd, Low 2nd, etc If the winner is the Low CDF, then the ordering is Low 1st, High 1st, Low 2nd, High 2nd, etc March 1st 00:00 UTC is in a little over 25 hours ... miners get your engines ready Edit: all of the other non-conflicting rules (listed in the first post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.0 ) are still the same Edit2: I'll keep track of the blocks here so it's easy for anyone to see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg8895607#msg8895607
