about 5PH increase in the last hour, is that people getting ready for block Friday  Wink
Someone kicked loose all the high priced rentals they were using.
Now we can use it for kano Smiley
Come on Mr Block!
It IS almost Friday again, time flies.

I kicked some nh power over here. Feels good to mine here again. Have been away since i sold my miners that became unprofitable.

Not sure nh mining will be profitable, but i have some BTC sitting over there and figured i'd give a chance at winning an Avalon.

 Cool

As a sometimes practicing Catholic I hate that Luke-Jr seems to represent catholicism to everyone in the community. Last time I followed some of his convos on reddit about Catholicism I got real angry. He takes a very hard line on matters of faith.

Also, as a Catholic, yes we have commandments about lying and stealing. So do a lot of faiths. Seems Luke-Jr is of the do as I say, not as I do brand of faith.

Religion and politics are the greatest tools ever created by psychopaths to divide and conquer the masses that choose to believe that when we expire there is something better that follows, IMO  Smiley

A stupid question

If I have 1 x S7 with 4.7Th/s hash

and 10 x S3's with 4.7 Th/s hash total

am I theoretically more likely to get a block with the S7 - rather than on any of the S3's?

Is the quality? speed or whatever other better on an S7?

Thanks

Statistically the same. There's no quality of hash, its just blind luck trying different combination to find a solution. Think of it like brute forcing a password, thats kind of what mining does. So if both option output 4.7TH/s of valid hashrate, they effectively are the same.

Just trust the number Kano pools tell you. If they're the same then they're the same.

others category:

electricity cost aside, you can have more options testing out different setups with 10x S3.   solo mining one?

10 x S3 will generate more heat during those cold nights.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1297331.0

electricity cost most likely spoils any leverage they have over the S7.

Start yourself a thread in beginners or such, these questions are going way way off topic, now. This has nothing to do with Kano pool. Send me the link and i'll bounce off any ideas or concerns you(two) may have. Just not here.

Three Block club on Kano.Is
It looks like good company to keep Wink
Luck is an odd thing, but I like the way it works here Smiley

Thanks for the pool, and thanks for the great poolmates.

I do not understand why anyone would ever mine anywhere else unless they were going to rent and go for a solo run at CK's house.

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function.
Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

Was looking at the stats page and see still only 1 confirm after 33 mins and got kinda nervous. Then looking at TradeBlock I see no new blocks in the past 33 mins - yeesh. Maybe we should just go ahead and find block #400047 to help out  Grin

Nice job generalt hitting that block!  I just made the connection between you and your worker name gtso...I do the same by using a short version for my workers so it looks cleaner in the cgminer window.  That is a crazy best share!  It would have worked for many diffs to come!
