Well 2 things: 1) After you scan the qrcode, check the settings in the app match the settings shown on the screen. The full settings are shown there. 2) If it's android, there's an app I list to check the time on your device. If your time is more than a few seconds wrong you'll have problems. A few seconds will mean random failures, more than 29s will mean it will always fail.

We should be getting an onslaught of short blocks soon if things behave like usual. *Crossing fingers*.

I am at a conference in Acapulco right now and met a guy with a 30ph mine, wonder if he would have any advantage running on this pool verses what he is doing currently??

Less orphans/lost blocks. Here and solo are basically the fastest block change pools around. We also have our own internal world wide block relay network that is faster than Matt's relay (that everyone uses) We use Matt's relay also. We average the largest blocks of all pools. ... and yeah we just got another block Edit: and we have REALLY low fees 0.9% Edit2: oh and with his addition to more than double the pool hash rate that would reduce the variance a lot for the pool and for him.

Just tell the guy that Kano works on cgminer which is the software that probably runs on all of his miners... no brainer!

This scares only those having to pay mucho $$$ for electricity

This scares only those having to pay mucho $$$ for electricity yeah but there is also the fact that even at a cost of 750$ the s7 might not make that much back in bitcoin for several months.. even with free electricity the s7 will be at EOL before it gets a return. there is also a risk it will blow up, catch on fire, or just stop working before that happens.. bitmain didnt seem to put much quality in the s7.

That is one hell of a mine, not many individuals running around with 30 Ph. Unless their name ends with Valery Vavilov or Wu Ji Han -

I'm pretty new to mining...(3 months). I have 6 S3's and 1 S5..altogether about 3.8 THs. I spent about 6 weeks on slush, and then after seeing so many posts about possible issues, and the last post about a miner withholding blocks I decided to try kano.is.
I felt like 6 weeks was a good indicator of average payout on both. This is what I found. slush who is running almost twice the hash as kano pays out just about the same as kano. On both pools, assuming a stable environment on my end, I generate about .02 btc every 36 hours. I find that odd.
In addition, there was a point where slush lost a significant big miner, dropping him well below 40PHs and the payouts were better. Again, it's not really a scientific observation, but that's just has the numbers worked.
I like kano, it seems stable, the payouts are well within my expectations for my hash rate. The only thing I'd like to see is a little cleaner website.
Thanks for being there kano.is and I'm very lucky to have found you !!

The true google authenticator doesnt have settings for each that you can set. its just a constant rolling number that changes. I downloaded that FreeOTP app for andriod and that seemed to work.
