my 3 S9s all seem to also keep an almost exact hash rate of 13,650ish or so gh/s and dont very much at all. other then the first few mins after connecting to a pool they will sometimes jump way up as far as 18,000 for a few seconds then settle back down to 13.6 ish and only varies by a few giga hashs. But none of them are the v1s and they also have the lame autotune frequency thing going on with them all.

I've had several "careers," but the last (some 25 yrs worth) was behavioral science. Did 20 years of forensics, then 5 years developing coping plans, training the trainers, for autistic kids. That was the best of the 25, really.

Tho it seems most of her co workers were the ones with the biggest personality disorders then even the autistic kids she works with and lol at least most of them have an excuse for why they are the way they are. Tho the others not so much.

you are not a Bitmain insider, are you? if not, it is irrelevant. 1. the method is covert and will work on the behest of "real" owners IF they choose to activate it. Did they do it? I don't know. They say that they did not as of yet, but somehow Antpool mines abnormal numbers of empty blocks, which is consistent with this feature being active. 2. this pool owner has almost an irrefutable claim that v1 S9 has 25-30% less luck that it should have based on th. Explain this. 3. the blog post that you quoted sounds like a threat on many levels and should be treated as such. 4. [c]overt method cannot be detected in theory, but they DO have it on the chip. Denying using it, while having it stretched credulity, especially since they are often mining empty blocks, which is a telltale sign of DEPLOYMENT. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/63us6q/official_response_from_bitmain_regarding_recent/

You're right it's absolutely irrelevant to post the direct refutation from the accused; it's much better to continue on with innuendo and speculation. RE: 1. You can't dismiss and call a multi-page document, from the company in question, discussing the topic "irrelevant" and then claim that it's a covert action; because, logic. The "owners" also benefit from selling it to other pools (whether those pools activate it or not); that's how patents work. RE: 2. You're conflating 2 distinctly separate issues (unless you have provable knowledge/documentation that the 2 are linked, in which case you'd need to post such evidence [that asicboost and luck are factually linked] to support your insinuation). It's purely unfounded supposition that v1 bad luck is linked to asicboost. RE: Edit 3. 4. and whatever next... Let us know when you're done editing.....

selling used equipment as new (Cheat #0)-multiple occasions prior bitmain cheated on btc/$ conversion rate for months-plenty of evidence (Cheat#1) low luck for S9 v1 on many pools. At the minimum a nonstandard stratum implementation, it could be unrelated or not (Cheat #2) Covert/overt hardware implementation of asicboost resulting in mining an abnormal number of empty blocks ("because we are allowed to do so")-Plenty of evidence of empty blocks mining-(Cheat #3) Once a cheat, ALWAYS a cheat.

Pure speculation that the 2 are related.

I meant to say "any of my s9". After all. I can only speak for myself. And regarding everything else you have said. I knew getting into bitcoin that I would have to deal with a lot of conspiracy theories. But dam this shit is getting deep. I myself do not like a monopoly. Which is why I am starting to hate bitfury for not selling their miners to the public.

Pure speculation that the 2 are related.
not pure speculation... https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/mining-manufacturer-blocking-segwit-benefit-asicboost/The use of ASICBOOST could also explain why Bitmain’s main pool, AntPool, mined blocks roughly 100KB smaller than other mining pools of a comparative size during the month of February. An unnamed source familiar with the matter told Bitcoin Magazine that the technique is easier to pull off when empty or nearly empty blocks are mined. the funny thing...YOU as a miner were exploited at the minimum, yet...

OK enough about asic-boost. Any more posts about it and I'll delete them.
3 facts: That document about 'asic-boost' I posted was from bitmain (though they didn't want it posted) The original bmminer before public release modified stratum to enable 'asic-boost', in a manner that failed to connect to ckpool, and they then modified their 'asic-boost' stratum changes to work with ckpool after that. It modifies the block version number to be able to roll one or more bits prior to the first sha256 hash so any such blocks (gained from using 'asic-boost') will be able to be seen with unusual block version numbers.
If you want to read up on other's 'opinions' of it then look back the last 2 pages and read the links ...

No that wont work (looking at pool block finding numbers), if you increase the hash rate, you'll find more blocks ... standard bitcoin. ... and I really should just delete both posts since I've already said I would. Edit: ok 3 posts - all deleted.
My 3 facts tell you how to find the blocks, if they exist. Read the document that shows which block version number bit/bits they are rolling, then look for blocks with that block version number bit/bits set. If the bit/bits matches some bitcoin voting then you'll have to sort that out. End of story.
