If I dramatically increase my hash power, does the 5nd more or less 'reset' in terms of rewards?
The 5Nd is always active no matter what you do. It spreads the reward for any share you find 'now' over the nrxt 5Nd of shares the pool finds. If you look at it in terms of rewards expected 'now' then your rewarded hash rate will grow (or fall) from 'current' to 'new value' in 5Nd from now. |

A new Avalon 741 has just arrived from MinerWarez. I will have to call them legit now. Two power supplies should arrive Monday. I have done a bit of rewiring to make 220 volt power available near the Avalon controller.
7 plus more THashes heading Kano pool way soon.
I currently have about 35THash on Kano pool but due to 5Nd the last block showed me a little over 30THash, and I still got .0210 bitcoin. Worth over $200 at current prices. The new miner should boost payouts, (after a wait for 5nd to catch up), to over $250 per block if the bitcoin price does not fall dramatically.
Now that MinerWarez is a proven item I will order another A741 or perhaps wait to see if they put out the A8 soon. Canaan is being cagy about their new miner, sending out surveys and trying to test the waters.

Ok, waiting on my power supplies to hook up my new Avalon 741. I managed to rig a connection to my bedroom and have the third of my old S7LNs hooked up there. The bedroom has been quite chilly the last several weeks and this should cure that, and add about 2.6THash to Kano Pool.

Lost use of one of my miners last night but i'll have it up and running again in a couple days because of a wiring issue aka I almost burnt my house down lol, not true but I burnt the shit outta some wires. |

Kano, Please explain this to me. I run around 60 TH via 3 + 5 miners hosted in different locations. On 11/19 5 miners went down and 3 of them came back on 11/21 and remaining 2 came back on 11/29. Today is 12/3 and if you look at my rewards my "Your N Avg" is not going up. Since 11/29 I am running at near 60 TH but yet 12/1 & 12/3 "Your N Avg" has went up 0.36 TH and 0.07 TH. 2 A741 miners add ~15 TH and I would expect "Your N Avg" to increase over 4 days.   |

Looking at your 5Nd graph I'd say all is ok. At current pool hashrate it's 14 days to 5Nd.

It may be that they are auto switching from Btrash because it is more profitable to mine BTC at 11,300 than Btrash. |

Price will stabilize and gradually move up. Lots of HODL'ing going on and rewards halving for BTC is scheduled to occur in August 18 time frame, when that occurs look for BTC to rapidly increase in price as new supply creation is halved just when the first adopters (3% of mass) reaches the market. Lots of drivers and fundamentals say that an S9, even if new technology comes out, will remain profitable to utilize for the near to mid term future. With that said, I have 4 S9's shipping out next week and they should arrive and be mining in Kano by the 12th of this month. I am looking forward to getting in and achieving 5ND right towards the end of the month, which might afford me a couple of good payouts with no pool costs. Either way, having done my research, I could not find a better Pool to send the hashrate to anyway, so the 0% is just a little Kano-san reward to me for finding the pool in the first place. Mine On and thank you Kano for a great pool. Edit: I was mistaken on the halving on BTC. I was thinking LTC and it is late August 2019. Tired.... |
