For those wanting this, you can now set a bech32/bc1 'address' as your account payout address. It has the usual rules on input of all UPPER or all lower case, but is stored internally and displayed as all lower case.

... and just a reminder for anyone who's not mined here for a long time, you should make sure your payout address is current. Once I complete the new 'balance' payout code, total unpaid dust payouts will be happening soon after, and current miners will be first off the rank. Current miners will get it as part of their first block payout after the 'balance' payout code is ready. FYI, as most probably know, dust does also include the blocks anyone wasn't paid, due to ignoring putting a payout address on their account, before the block was found.

I was wondering where that $11 came from to my wallet. I thought someone sent it by mistake! Kano so what you’re saying is that soon all the previously collected dust payments will be paid out?

Yep, I've completed a new (internal) report that will tell me everything I need to know about every account's balance, also, of course, including the new Payments and the Reward Adjustments data. So now just gotta complete a separate (non-block) payout from that data. Also, the Payments page now has a "CSV" link at the top right of the table, that will generate a link for downloading all the Payments as a CSV file. It auto-clicks the generated link so the download starts - except on Apple devices - in their case you click the 2nd link it generates to get the CSV file.

Hey Kano, I’ve noticed in the payment section and in the CSV that in my case there is only 4 dust payments from the year of 2019 out of which I believe I received only 1. But the whole year of 2018 is missing completely. Should we expect the dust payments from that year or not? Thanks.

Not sure what you mean, but there are normally no dust payments at all. "Dust Rewards" are usually only when you have a VERY tiny hash rate or at the start of ramping or the end of ramping down.

Not sure what you mean, but there are normally no dust payments at all. "Dust Rewards" are usually only when you have a VERY tiny hash rate or at the start of ramping or the end of ramping down. Well what I mean is that I’ve had your pool as a backup pool and was getting rewarded something for all of the blocks that were found between around December 20th 2017 up until today’s date. Yes the hashrate was very little from 0-500ghs but on the rewards page it says that I was getting something for almost all of the blocks found in that time period. For example. From November 2018 I was getting rewarded anywhere from 0.000010 to 0.000070 all depending on how much time my miners have jumped to your pool for a certain period of time. And it is in the rewards page but never got that paid out. So my question is if you are planning on paying out those dust payments to me and other people that were getting little hashrate and getting some dust payments in their rewards page or not? Last time I’ve asked you about it and you’ve said that you were working o pen more important things but will eventually get to creating some code so that the people are able to get their dust payments.

And yes, Dust is Rewards, not Payments. Well, of course they are rewards because if they have been payments then we wouldn’t have had this conversation in the first place, since these rewards were never paid out.

he has been working on the accounting system that will pay dust - he has explained that when it rolls out soon it will first pay those that are still mining (I believe this is because it can roll the dust payments up and combine them with a current block reward) then the next group would be those that are no longer active miners - I think this might be the group you are in. I know this is a long time in coming but ultimately this ends up being just a few cents to maybe a couple of dollars. I do not think anyone has a substantial amount of unpaid "dust"

But that is just me and that is just one block out of like 130 that I got dust for but never actually got it.

Well you can login and see the total rewards (+adjustments for the rare few who have them) and then subtract total payments and see what the difference is ... about $20?

Yes, Happy new Year’s to all guys and happy mining, if Lord wants we will have great luck this year! Mine on! Kano, that reminds me about the halving that is supposed to take place in May I believe. Wanted to know, what are your thoughts on that? You think that the BTC will grow in price substantially? Because if it doesn’t I don’t see how any miner would be able to stay afloat (not to mention those who has free electricity), since we will be getting only 6 btc instead of 12 after that, correct? Thanks!

Here are some possibilities (1 or more possible): 1) The Price vs Diff vs Reward is too low for most miners, many drop out, diff drops to correct that 2) Price goes up (eventually) due to the reduction in the supply of generated BTC or other market reasons 3) Transaction fees will (of course) become twice the % of the block reward if they don't change i.e. if there was an average of 0.5 BTC in txn fees per block, that's 4% of 12.5 but 8% of 6.25 This % of course doubles each halving, which is why PPS pools started paying FPPS, but they still charge more (and some of them don't have enough BTC to stop going bankrupt) What will happen? NFI But we'll find out in about 5 months or so. Don't forget, this will be the 3rd halving, we've survived the previous ones, this is not new.
