Takes the same each way - 5Nd Smiley

The time of 5Nd of course depends on the changing pool hash rate.
[/quote]

yes because it depends on the changing pool hash rate, it is actually not always the same each way - the first time I ramped up it was 5 days, when I finally ramped down it took 6 weeks. also isnt 5nd also affected by network difficulty as well?

my statement simply means i hope it doesn't take 6 weeks to ramp up.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Well 1 of 2 m10's are hadhing away. Just prepping the space so i can get the second online.

Pretty pumped to get myself over 100 TH once all is said and done. At least until spring, but a little luck and some planning i might be able to stay up there.

The M10 are solid runners, you should be able to do it just fine. The 31T model looks so nice with that price...

The S15 are supposedly more efficient, but only slightly.

or.kano.is:3333  this node doesn't work and might be a typo as it changes to or5.kano.is

It works for me...and I have it as my 1st pool on 32 machines.

I do expand it a little bit though:  stratum+tcp://or.kano.is:3333

If you are trying to ping this address it won't work because it's an AWSLS server and you can't use a normal ping on that.
You have to use tcping on AWSLS servers.  Google tcping to find the software and then you can do: tcping or.kano.is 8080 to get the latency.

Yes that's what it DNS CNAMEs to Smiley

or.kano.is is what you should use - as it says on the web home page
... and it works as expected.

There are a number of node names that have DNS CNAMEs
e.g. us.kano.is

You should only use the names listed, not the CNAME target names or IP addresses
since if I change the target of the CNAME or the IP, you may no longer be able to mine.

You need an ASIC miner - as it explains on the web site listed in the title and the first page of this thread.

The pool seems to have gone to a solid 270ish PHs for the last day or two. Blocks should be coming soon...

Nice block! Not sure why my block % dropped by 1/3rd within the last 5 minutes of the block being found. Scratching my head on that one... Guessing the pool takes a 33% fee  Cry

No, it was that big miner 16vV8 with 240PH that came on the pool for 24 hours that made all of our block% drop.  His work counted as well and the pool only takes a fee of 0.9%.

EDIT:  The other thing you have to understand is this payout included all the work shifts for the past 5Nd (back to Jan 9th).  The average pool hashrate over all those shifts was 75.16PHs and your block% for this block was based on that.  The Block % you were seeing on your Workers page is your % of the pool hash rate average only for the past hour each time you check it.

Congratulations on finally cracking that block comrades!  It’s been a LONG wait! Sad. Wish you to get a couple more before the end of the month.  Usually after not finding blocks for a long time, they start to come in packs here, so there is a good chance for getting some more in the near future.  Smiley

By the way I believe I have like 70 of the Bitmain $66 coupons as well if anyone is in a need.  PM me.

Mine on!  Wink

Yes he definitely gave you guys an awesome boost for a few days, I believe,  so yes he is getting a good chunk of that block.  240PH Is a no joke farm which has to get paid for its work as well.

When the block was found the pool average was 87PH and after he left the pool hash rate went back to like 50?  So I assume that the 37-40PH is what he ramped up to and is his piece of the pie.

When he (16vV8...) was live, his large hash rate dropped my block % significantly (as with everyone else's block %), which makes sense. When I looked 5 minutes before the block was found and right after the block was found the difference there was about a 33% drop. I've been focusing a lot more attention to Kanopool for almost 1 month, but I just can't wrap my head around this issue - hopefully Kano can chime in sometime and give some clarification to me.
