That would explain it... How did that happen? Anyway, CRW seem to recover, it will be back in the next couple of days.

That would explain it... How did that happen? Anyway, CRW seem to recover, it will be back in the next couple of days. To clarify: the community member who had their CRW stolen had installed malignant 3rd party software on his device. Through that (and maybe with the help of a keylogger - I'm not sure), the user's wallet.dat was compromised and stolen, and the coins were then sold. The Crown wallet itself is safe to use, but PLEASE BEWARE when installing 3rd party software - this could happen to any of us.

Thank you, done it 2 weeks ago or so on all the computers. I've noticed that in the last couple of days I'm getting systemnodes rewards more often. Could be because old wallets are not connected?

Indeed, found it crashed for the second time in 2 consecutive days. First time I thought that it was my fault, closing it by mistake, but not the case. Funny thing is that was ok in the previous 2 weeks. Anyway, installed the latest and hoping to be fine now. Thank you for the quick fix.

Yeah as I understand it the circumstances for this to happen weren't very likely, that's why it ran fine for a few weeks. But seeing as it could either reoccur within a day or after a year, we didn't want to run the risk by just ignoring it. That's my understanding at least. Funny thing is we were all having dinner together when it happend, so we had to get up and basically run back to the apartment. Devs stayed up until 3am to get the fix released, so credit goes to them

Hi!!!
Having mining somes crowncoin (first wallet) in 2014. I got somes coins after new wallet crown core.
and had sucessfully update wallet to the last format, but my coins appears in Read only mode.
When I'll try to get back my private key, an error occured like "invalid private key format"
Is it a format key bug?
If is there, how to convert my private key to the lastest format?
Thank's in advance!

I found the wallet stopped again today, running latest version - v0.12.5.1 - after 2 days with no issues. All the other wallets were fine. If it helps, running ubuntu 16.40. I will monitor it closely those days and report if happen again.

After the CRW community voted to move to a Proof of Stake protocol earlier this year through our governance system, the works on a tailored PoS mechanism where only masternode and systemnode operators stake is proceeding according to plan. A team of experienced developers lead by a PoS expert Presstab is currently working on the staking process and block validation. Hope to change to PoS by end of this year!

External devs who are experts on PoS were hired while Crown developers lead by Artem are focusing on delivering the platform and API, hope to have first pieces of the platform ready with the PoS release this year.
