you're both right ... 0.5 % monthly = 6 % annually same thing windows, apple, linux.....no need for special mining equipment. available to all. and no masternodes ! which means that the 6 % is available to all investors, not only large investors. smart, fair incentives. love cloak !

Man i wish cloak would go up above 150k again :/
Also a question, 0.5% monthly that means lets say you own 200 cloak: 200/100= 2 / 2 = 1 cloak a month?

correct! only switch on your wallet once a month and wait until the 200 cloak staked. after it is confirmed (after 60 bocks) send your 201 Cloak to another addres in your wallet. wait one month and then you stake 201 Cloak. stake and repeat!

hi all, I only recently came across cloak and became interested in it because of its privacy features. I want to invest in it because of this. In doing some research, I came across this rich list: https://explorer.cloakcoin.com/richlistThis is usually a sign that the transactions on the coin are not kept private. Can anyone comment on this and explain how this is possible? Thanks! Nothing to do with privacy. Just because you have wallet addresses and current balance doesn't mean you can connect them to any particular user. Your challenge: Find my wallet on that list and tell me where I sent the last transaction and for how much.

In doing some research, I came across this rich list: https://explorer.cloakcoin.com/richlistThis is usually a sign that the transactions on the coin are not kept private. Can anyone comment on this and explain how this is possible? Thanks! It's a great question, and it should be answered by the developers. Here is my answer: The Rich List numbers might come from exchanges (since the coin is primarily handled on exchanges presently). If you install the wallet and stake your coins, you can see that there are options for "cloaking". It's not like every transaction has to be "cloaked" - this is how I see it. Not a very good answer, I know, but I did think you asked a good question and thought I'd take a crack at it. Too bad so many things are "half baked" in crypto land. EDIT - I see someone else answered your question also! haha - didn't see that. Anyway - that's a good thing!

So is it recommended to send coins to different address every month to maximize staking or should coins be held in a single wallet address and left alone? I don't understand the benefit of moving it around.

I don't understand the benefit of moving it around. After each time you stake the coins are split into 2 halfs. example: 1000 split into 504 and 506 if you staked 10 coins. after a while these amount stake again and split into 2 halfs each. That means the fractions are becoming smaller and smaller and have less weight. If you stake once or maximum twice and put your coins back into 1 block on another address in your wallet the whole amount will stake again and faster coz it will have a higher weight. I hope you understood what I wanted to say.

I do get a lot of minted coins even though I've kept them in the wallet for several months. Am I confusing minting and staking? Aren't they the same thing?

Aren't they the same thing? minting/staking is the same. maybe then you've got many small fractions. combine all of your coins into 1 address. you can check your adresses with coin control features activated. there you see how many splits you have and how old each of them is.

Where can we buy Cloak?
Yobit (yobit.net/en) and Cryptopia (cryptopia.co.nz) are two popular places to to buy CLOAK (I personally prefer Yobit), although any exchange that handles cloak will do.

Yesterday I have noticed few small pumps, almost at the same time. Now I'm thinking this is just accumulation on bigger scale, so be ready when team returns with good news. 200k will be in no time. @Team - You should consider to bring back more PR events, this will bring back investors..

Yea, after stabilizing at a lower price I'm sure that CLOAK is ripe for another big pump or so; and if the CLOAK team gets more hype going then that would probably do it some good.
