Aren't Bitcoins and other cryptos all untraceable? If i am not mistaken, that is their biggest advantage. 

bitcoins are very traceable, you just don't know the owner (untill they buy a legitimate producct in a shop, or go to an exchange where they verified them selves)
the bitcoin ledger keeps a record of every transaction sent, meaning once someone pays you in bitcoin, you could trace the origin of that bitcoin.
Cloak and other privacy oriented coins make sure you can't trace those steps back to anyone else (if im not mistaken)

Thanks man - I got curious and looked at the Cloakcoin Chart in detail and Cloakcoin follows a pattern.  if it doesn't make any sense follow the blue arrows.  
The graph tells me that at some point towards Dec 27 or early next year Cloakcoin is hitting $20.00  
After seeing this I bought more cloak - Tell me what you think man, as  the graph shows 2018 is shaping up to be a  very good for Cloakcoin .

Note:Between now and early part of next year it can drop as low as $5.5 with worst case being 3.5, but that's the volatility of the market and its all part of the Climb up , so HODL the CLOAKs.

if you live in the US or use any of the US exchanges, you owe taxes and  most likely will have to pay them in 2019. This is one of the reasons for the disclosure. The problem is how the taxes will be calculated .
Moving  coins to an offline  wallet is considered a sale, selling any coin  is considered a capital gains event.  The challenge will be that in some cases you will owe more than the value of your coins plus penalties.
For example  if you sold at the top of the ATH ( ie BTC 11,000)  and the value of the coin has dropped substantially (ie BTC 3000)  you will still  owe taxes based on the value of the  coin when you sold it and not the current value.

The example might be a bit extreme, but its clear: at some point this big data collection and making the citizens transparent in any means, can backfire heavily.
Just think about the jews in netherlands that happily told the government at that time that they were jews when the stamping cards where newly invented and governments started to do statistics with this instrument. Some years later the nazis invaded the country and didnt have to search long for the jews they were looking for, they just had to use the data that was already collected and perfectly usable for them. You get were Im going?
Something similar can happen again. To any of us. People who feel that they have nothing to hide and therefore dont care about privacy, are just plain stupid in my opinion. But maybe thats just me.
