We cant even hold 130-140k and nearly failed to get 150k for a couple of minutes.

I think one of the problems is awareness of the coin, everyone knows about Monero but IMO Cloak is much better due to Staking and ease of wallet use. Hopefully an interview with JSnip 4 and open source will send Cloak to the moon!

I’m sure we’ll get there eventually. Just wait around and I’m sure that it’ll hit 200K soon, or perhaps even more than that.

Coins fluctuate a lot, that’s just part of the market.

I got a new computer with an ssd drive as c:/    
The newly installed cloak wallet puts all blockchain at my ssd drive... is there a way to put it at another drive?

Go to the %appdata%/cloakcoin folder

create cloakcoin.conf there

write in cloakcoin.conf:

datadir=E:\Blockchains\Cloakcoin (or what ever is your path!!)

copy the content of the cloakcoinfolder to the new path and only leave cloakcoin.conf in the appdata/cloakcoin folder

hmm... it is somehow not working. the client ignores my config file and starts to download the blockchain again... in the originally folder

I guess there was an issue with that in the current version, it's going to be fixed with the next update. The blockchain isn't too big for C: maybe about 2 GB - 3GB. sorry for this inconvenience

Create a cloakcoin.exe shortcut, go to properties and add -datadir=path to cloakcoin dir like -datadir=C:\Cloakcoin after cloakcoin.exe in the target: field. Always start the wallet from that shortcut.

Thanks for the link, it seems like this is only available to core developers and not just any coin user. Dev team should get on that though :-)

Does our IP address ever get exposed when using the wallet for general purpose like staking?

I understand cloak shield helps in mask the source and destination, but not sure if  we can still be identified by using the wallet?

Being on vacation is fine, but letting a community drown in questions is not, its not asking much to check the forums or at least post a twitter update.
Price has been tanking too, while all other privacy coins have been going up.
Recent uptrend seemed to be manipulated too, the buy wall was not natural or because of hype, everyone that watched the chart that night could clearly see that is was 1 person doing it.
Not saying it was the devs, but maybe.

So Devs have provided a great coin, who are we to complain? Maybe they are still on vacation? We also can't assume the Devs are manipulating the market. If anything take this as an opportunity to accumulate, I am sure Cloak will have it's day in the sun!

 I own a business and the way cloak continues to have zero marketing, zero new youtube eye candy, and zero dev posts is no excuse. Take some pride and unless you have down syndrome realize that privacy coins are flying up in demand except Cloak, which technically has the best. I don't accept the lazy approach of the developers, if you want to, just know you are hurting yourself and all other bag holders. FINISH THE NEW WALLET. DO SOME INTERVIEWS ON YOUTUBE. GET SOME TRACTION AND EXPOSURE TO THE CRYPTO WORLD. this is not rocket science. this is common sense.

If I was a developer for Cloakcoin I would be interacting with the community and on the front lines. Crypto is a competitive marketplace. I don't want it to have a 15 million market cap by the time they get their act together. FOLLOW THIS ADVICE PLEASE DEVELOPERS. Why not reach out to the dev team or go into the Cloak chat and see how you can help them promote their coin? I made a video on how to stake Cloak and was rewarded with a bounty.

I agree about the exposure and Youtube videos etc, but we don't have insight to whats going on. For all we know there were some major flaws in the code audit and they are working to fix these. I like to think they are just doing their due diligence and ironing out any bugs or code inefficiencies before moving to open source.


It could go either way, I'm tapped out and not buying any Cloak until I see a trend reversal because I'm tired of bag holding... but that's just my 2 cloaks.
