You only get rewarded when your coins find a block. Cloak is a pos coin and depends on open wallets. If you have a low amount of cloak you can expect to find ablock (stake/kint) after a few days or even weeks. You will get the reward but you cannot say when your coins will stake. Just to have an idea how long you might have to wait: 1000 CLOAK with an age of several days might stake within 5-10h after syncing the wallet. 100 Cloak might take a day or more when the wallet is synced. I hope this clarifies the staking process a bit.

first of all staking (minting) means not just getting a reward, the reward is paid when you find a block and secure the blockchain by doing this. For this you provid the balance of your coins in the wallet to the network.

You can get max. 6% of your balance per year in staking rewards. e.g. you hold 100 cloak you can expect 6 cloak rewards after 1 year. This doesn t matter whether you stake 24/7 or you you stake these 100 cloak after 1 year. What counts is the coin age which increases as long as the coins are not moved or staked. When you stake 24/7 you will get many small amounts.

basically oyu only need 1 cloak but a good amount to start with is 100 cloak

The more cloak youhold the more you stake but you never get more tahn 6% of the balance you hold / year. That's simple %-maths then.

I have a few questions I’m gonna put out here on the thread instead of the two chat channels where most people probably not gonna see them and the answers.

First of all, when you announced that Cloak applied for Binance, why didn’t you also say it could take up to 3 month?
– In my world it is a bit misleading, without actually misleading people, by just keep such info not told. Could be nice to show more openness so to speech. Or maybe it is just me…..

A few month ago the ENIGMA got uploaded and later on the live version got released. From my understanding, the team is still have some small issues/improvements to make on it before moving on to other things on the roadmap. Can you tell a little more about which things we are talking about and when this can expect to be done? (roughly)

The dev fund, I guess, is the next thing to be developed after the above – Have the team found a solution to this, in this case – Which? And when should be expect start/finish of this (Q2/Q3?)

We were also told about article here in march for a big German newspaper?
An article for one Hong Kong?

Is the website finish with its ‘’make-over’’ or does it have a long way to go? – Any expected finish?

And last (but not least for US ‘’the community’’) a blog from the Cloak team to keep us updated, when will this come so anyone actually can keep her/himself updated without keep reading ALL posts in this tread?

Also – We were told you guys were in contact with ‘’known crypto enthusiast with reputable name to help promote Cloak’’ – Who or have ‘’they’’ already promoted (Jsnip4?) and is this the same person as we got info about a crypto vlogger?

If someone holds 1% of all CLOAK this one would likly stake 1% of all blocks. We have 1440 block /d (1 min block time) 1% of that is 14x staking on avg. if someone holds a few hundred cloak they will stake likly less blocks daily."

This is an estimate how many times you can expect staking rewards when you have x amount of coins. Current supply is 5.1 Million CLOAK
you can estimate easily how many % of that supply you hold and we have 1440 block / day (blocktime 1 minute)

In general, the website is well structured and all information about CLOAK are available and updated. Nevertheless, we decided to upgrade the website! Our web developer is converting the existing website to a user-friendly CMS.
In this way we will have much more improvements to present latest updates, events, news, press releases, videos and much more in different languages on the CLOAK website.
That will make things easier, especially for newcomers!

Development:

We are pleased to announce a release in the next coming days that will include the enhancement of encrypted wallets. We are expecting another release with additional enhancements within the next 2 weeks. Then our team will be focused on the dev fund.
Once the dev fund is complete, we are hoping to bring new developers in our team in order to fulfill the LTC port during the 2nd, beginning of 3rd quarter.

Meanwhile, the development of the raspberry pi wallet has been paused.
The dev fund has the highest priority and needs to be implemented as soon as possible.
We are in the process of finding a solution! Maybe a former raspberry developer of the Cloak team is able to help us.

Really nice to see an article in a big ''in real life'' media to bring more attention to the project. That for me, really shows that this project is also starting to be taken serious in the real world and for me that just got an extra check mark for Cloak.
- Unfortunately it was written in German, but looking forward to see the english version though

The website is gonna be upgraded, any timings for that? - To be honest. I'm only looking forward to the blog implementation/news so I can easily stay updated without going through a lot of channels and posts, and hopefully getting more frequently updates from the team in an easy way to communicate.

The crypto conference in Berlin is gonna be really exciting to see how much attention you guys are gonna have, and if any partnerships might come out of this event. Hope we are getting an positive update afterwards

Tom Gridland is trying to get Cloak accepted on online stores and in different industries. Can you say anything about how far you guys are with this partnerships. Are some at a point where they will accept Cloak or is it still at a meeting phase?
- How are they looking at Cloak at the moment with so small volume, so if they actually accepted Cloak they might devalue their own wealth by selling to realize their income?
- And what are they thinking about the project is still a good half year or more to implement LTC codebase. Are they a bit retaining because they don't know how that will role out, since the new codebase still needs a test phase, audit etc etc that might cause problems and security problems for anyone using in the future, and therefor delay the hole implementation?

I am also wondering about the future for Cloak, after the dev fund.

If we make a conservative estimation with 2,5 mio Cloakcoins staking and giving 1% to the fund with and average price on $20. That gives $500.000 in passive income for the first year.
 
That may sound like a lot of money, but ofc no team will ever say they can have enough money And this can also go up exponentially with the price increasing just a bit.

- But what I really just am trying to ask is - How are you guys planning to use the money? What are the cost of a dev working full time? Is Deepend even working full time at the moment?
- How are the rest of the team looking at it if ''only'' the devs are gonna be paid for their work since they are the last one joining the project, but the first one to feel it on their bank account?

So basically just wont to know in as much detail as possible how the plan for the money spending is looking !


AND when the Cloakcoin has established the fund, converted to the LTC codebase, made wallets online and on the different mobilephones, ofc this is not before 2019 if everythings goes smooth. What is the dev funds money then gonna be used for? - I know you guys probably are gonna say developing, but when I look at Cloak and where it has it focused it is very small - Privacy transactions. If all the above is developed and the products is working, then what? Are you guys then gonna go outside your box as privacy transactions and now focus on other things aswell or?
