use the nvidia-smi.exe tool instead in the command line. Should come with the driver.

I think djm34 is correct sp_ please check out what he is suggesting. Thanks djm34 Smiley

750ti is so smooth and 970 throttles only because it is crossing my temp limit of 77 C.

Quoted from the NiceHash thread (with apologies by scryptr)--

Vertcoin is forking to a new mining algo, a modified lyra2re.
Will you add a new algo or replace the old one (or none of the two)?

Huh, these guys at Vertcoin are really fanatic with those algo forks Wink ... we'll take a look at it and we'll probably add the new algo.
Has the new lyra2re algo been implemented on nicehash yet? I'm currently mining with the old one.
HARDFORK --

The old algo is mining on a bogus fork.  The new algo gets rejects on NiceHash.  People are paying for bogus hash.

We are in process of implementing the new algorithm Lyra2REv2, we have to implement a new validator and test to make sure everything works fine. We never rush on adding new algorithms before things are stabilized and tested. Of course, the original Lyra2RE algorithm will stay and there is nothing wrong with it - there are several other coins, besides Vertcoin, that are still using the original version of Lyra2RE. And to make clear - Lyra2RE algorithm hasn't forked, only Vertcoin (the coin itself) has forked to new algorithm Lyra2REv2.

Thank you for using our service and kind regards,
NiceHash team

THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION--

I apologize, I did not consider "Lyra2v2" as just another algorithm.  However, many miners are confused as to why they get nothing but rejects when attempting to mine with the latest VertCoin software.       --scryptr

I submitted a pull request to djm34's ccminer-lyra with a little optimisation.
If he's ok with it we can eventually merge it into ccminer-sp as well.

hmm my 970 is running at 9000-9200 khash/s almost consistently & 750ti gets 4160 khash/s with extreme consistency.

@djm34
970 became choppy for 2 minutes & hashrate dropped to 7000 khash/s for no specific reason. Does cpu usage affects the miner? I am mining on cpu as well on 2 cores so usage is around 60-70%.

LYRA2v2 HASH RATES--

These are the hash rates my cards are mining Lyra2v2 at:

     GTX 750ti  --     4.4Mh/s

     GTX 960    --     5.9Mh/s

     GTX 970    --     8.8Mh/s

My cards:
GTX 970 = 10Mh/s, overclocked @1440MHz, TDP limited to 150W
GTX 980 = 10.9Mh/s, overclocked @1420MHz, TDP limited to 150W
In comparison, GTX 980 doesn't score so well  Sad

Someone can answer me why im not able
to run any of last release since 1.58. 59 60
It seems win 10 don't want to run them ...
I have tried to remove it from antivirus, firewall,
and windows smart screen etc ....
If anyone have idea it can help.
What you guyz doin different since release 58?
Thanks !

What is the error message:

you can try to change the register:

-   Start Menu
-   Under Search type: Regedit (Press Enter)
-   Navigate to the following directory:
o   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
-   You will see directories labeled “0000”, “0001” and so on that are relative to the total amount of cards.
-   Under each of those Keys (eg. 0000) create the following two Dword values, once created set their value to 1
o   DisplayLessPolicy
o   LimitVideoPresentSources
-   You can create the Dword by right clicking on the key and NEW  DWORD

https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/738070/cuda-setup-and-installation/8x-gpu-gtx-issue-under-windows/post/4208565/#4208565

Thanks for the help,
The error is just : access denied and it closed
Can it be my win 10 or my drivers the problems.
I don't think its bitdefender or smartcreen i have disabled everything thx

P.S The last version of ccminer-lyrav2 works like a charm so i don't understand

COMBINED CPU + GPU MINING--

Whenever I tried running a CPU miner concurrently with a GPU miner in the same computer, the performance of both was degraded.  Also, the computer was nearly unresponsive most of the time.

A heavy CPU load will affect performance of either type of miner.  Gaming and mining concurrently is not too compatible, either, for any high resolution game.  Maybe solitare or minesweeper  is ok.  Smiley       --scryptr

thanks for replying. now i have to do complex calculation to see if profit from cpu mining along with gpu mining is worth it or i am loosing money & wasting power. Tongue

coinotron is showing half the hashrate as that on miner. Does anyone have an idea what are you supposed to earn in VTC per day with a 750ti & with 970?

A have seen lower ccminer performance when CPU mining on all cores. If you're running at 70% (assume 2 cores saturated
by cpuminer: 50%) you should be ok. Monitor ccminer with and without cpu mining to confirm it was the cpu miner
that slowed ccminer.

You can also play with process priorities but I didn't see much difference when I tried it.

I was able to earn 100 VTC in slightly less than 12 hours when I pointed my two good rigs at Give-Me-Coins.  I'd estimate that a 750ti all by its lonesome self (4.4Mh/s) could earn as much as 10-15 VTC in 24 hours on a mining pool with a big vertcoin mining attendance (Verters, GMC).  It would depend on difficulty, the rate of blocks found on the pool, etc.

NiceHash has not yet implemented Lyra2v2, so you can't get BTC for VTC at the new algo's hash rate there.  I am going to take my VTC to market when the market looks good.

--scryptr

EDIT:  The CoinWarz calculator is slightly more optimistic, and calculates ~23 VTC a day, worth about $1.45 today.
