Another thing, in mining Lyra2 my GTX 960 cards mine more slowly than a 750ti.  I don't understand it.  I think there may have been another post on this 10-20 pages back, but this thread is getting long.  Smiley                --scryptr
It seems lyra2 is memory bound. Unless the 960 has more memory I wouldn't expect a big increase, but I
wouldn't expect a decrease either.

Try to reduce the intensity with the -i parameter. I think the 960 is using the same default intensities as on the 970 and the 980 wich is too high.

huh ? it is based on your version... (1.5.50) and incorporate that changes already, so whatever is the original speed this one does 30kh/s more

but the speed should be higher than 150-160 on default clocks try with -i 14.5. (windows x86 builds)

I miss a lot my ccminer times, now electricity is so expensive here in Brazil, tks to corrupted politicians and a crazy government Sad

My 980s and 970 now are set only to run games sporadically.

Mining is more profitable than ever if you know what to mine.

3x 980 and 1x 970 will give you around 75MHASH of quark.  (sp-mod 53 light overclock)

Around (0,04BTC per day) (10USD per day) should be enough to cover your bills.

I expect the power usage of your rig to be around 700W? then you use 16,8 KWATTh per day

If your power cost is over $0.59 per KWh, you loose money.. Normally in other countries (your competition) the powercost is around $0.05-0.20 per KWh

Hi sp_!

I still remember the good times on Spreadminer and X11 optimizations! Good memories!

Interesting, Quark is placed at 35th on the market, costing about 2k satoshis each...with 10 USD/day I get a good profit (about 140 USD/month), but there are electricity penalties for those who "abuse" of it here, it´s called red flag state, it is a pitty. Sad

Cheers

Quark is pooping out, as I mentioned a few days ago, all the algos are currently taking a dip. It could be because people are trying to ride BTC as it increases instead of mining.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

Here are a few quark coins with how much BTC worth of coins are getting mined each day with current prices:

BitQuark (BTQ) ~0.01 BTC;
MonetaryUnit (MUE) ~0.031 BTC;
QuarkCoin (QRK) ~0.057 BTC;
Dimecoin (DIME) ~0.11 BTC;
SecureCoin (SRC) ~1.51 BTC;
SharkCoin (SAK) ~65 BTC.

Sharkcoin started blowing up since early May, its price increased close to 10x and now the nethashrate is around 120-150 gh/s.

Make of the numbers what you will.

Ps: I feel like I forgot at least one relevant coin but can't figure out which.

But when the gpu's are moved to the quark algorithm, other algos get a boost in the payout. x11 is 2x more profitable now than 6 months ago. lyra2re is 3x more profitable than 6 months ago etc..

The 150GHASH is comming from somewhere.. People move their rigs to mine the most profitable.. 6 months ago quark clones had a global net hash of around 10GHASH and the payout was close to 1 btc/GHASH before the multipools/rental sites got it down..

I presume those numbers are btc/GH/s/d. They seem way off compared with a week ago on yaamp
and what is currently reported on miningpoolhub (SRC .32, QRK .22). And I have no idea about SAK
except that I can't find anywhere to trade it.

The numbers are blocks per day * block reward * price.

So the numbers represent the whole pie that's being distributed to all miners each day. You could throw infinite gh/s at BitQuark for example, you'd still only earn ~0.01 BTC a day.

This meens that if people continue to move their rigs to mine quark and add another 120-150 GHASH(By adding 15 000 750ti gpu's), the payout will be halved to around 0.2BTC per GHASH. The algorithms that are profitable today, might not be profitable next month.

X11 has increased to 0.3342BTC/GHASH and if the trend continues, it might be more profitable to mine x11...

Last year after the the wolf0 bins had leaked x11 was only paying 0.12BTC/GHASH. Many chose to shutdown their rigs, and now the price is up again.

Most of those coins have low market volume so they aren't worth mining. I haven't seen sharkcoin before though.

x11 hasn't been worth mining for quite some time. I kinda doubt there will ever be a complete migration, there are a lot of mine bots (viruses) out there. When YAAMP was still up, there was something like 2200 neoscrypt CPU miners on it (which isn't profitable anymore no matter where you live). I have moved to Neoscrypt from Quark. Lower energy cost and more stable.

I would like to mine Lyra if the miner can be fixed on the 970. Same hashrate as a 750ti doesn't work.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

Sharkcoin has 24 hours volume of 10,619.33 BTC in china.

That is $2 637 713 per day in turnover on one exchange alone.

If the 65BTC mined every day is dumped the price will stay.

https://www.coinhills.com/market/sak-cny/jubi/

Quarkcoin had a turnover yesterday of 29.58 BTC on cryptsy.. ($7306,26) if the mined 0.057 BTC per day is dumped the price will stay.

Yup sp  been trying to get cryptsy to list it  but coinmarket cap isn't listing it probably it should be #3 coin right now.
