Nvidia mining is almost non existent, look at that lbc nethash. Not so much to expect from these pascal owners.

there are no giant farm for nvidia, that i'm aware of, maybe only sp has 100 nvidia gpu or something

Take a look at STEEM. ~_~

Take a look at Etherum Classic.

?

STEEM doesn't have a GPU miner, ETC earns about as much as ETH. You've been out of the loop for awhile. Sad

I am working on the SIA pascal sp-mod. Is 0.2 BTC for a 10% boost to greedy?
Hey sp_, I think you should do a crowdfund for whatever realistic amount and once it has been raised opensoure it.

I was thinking of a free Feeminer. 1% fee

0.1% to every developer.

10 developers. 0.1% to everybody. christan and the other c,tvpuvot, tsiv, klaust, pooler etc..

Hey! Finally some movement on this.

STILL... A dual miner has been something that has been needed for over six months and no one has done it. If Claymore actually releases something and there isn't anything else to compete with it, then it really doesn't matter if you brag about something or not.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

I believe up until Pascal, there were fundamental problems on getting "dual-miner" to work on Nvidia
Like much higher penalties for switching between different "kernels" ( I may be wrong, i'm not gpu programmer)
e.g. thats the reason why Maxwell's have no boost in games when async computing is enabled

will just ignore what sp said, i could be impolite again, fyi i got in total 0.02 btc for a 33% boost (and not even from bensam who asked it, like steem actually)

nvm i hope at least my work helped klaus to finalize his version...

CLAYMORE NVIDIA DUAL MINER--

Claymore claims his dual miner will soon work with nVidia and AMD cards, even if it is a mixed install with both architectures on the same computer.  That suggests the capability to dual mine is not limited to Pascal chipsets.       --scryptr

I agree with this.

It seems your work helps and/or helped sp_ profit from people donating to him that he actually never made to begin with.

You all should think long and hard about how you are doing donations and not really helping the actual dev who supplies the miner in the first place.

Here is a hint if you have not figured it out on some of Epsylon3's miner. If you want a boost and/or optimization. Do it yourself. Just mess with the intensity a little or raise your core. As sp_ as mentioned he gets a good increase by OC his core.

What was the last miner with algo that sp_ created? I'll wait for the answer to that one. Again sure he says he optimized the SIA and maybe LBC but who made that possible? I think you all know the answer to that.

Epsylon3. I remember back in the day when miners for coins where tied to pools, 1GH, beeeer, ypool ans etc. If you wanted to mine that coin or use the miner you had no choice but to use that pool. Wonder if you could come up with a way to tie your miner with yiimp only for new algos.

That would be pretty ironic if you came out with a Steem miner and could only use it at yiimp then bensam would have no choice but to donate.

Yeah rant over. Just people keep complaining and wanting more but not helping to get that more. We already have devs that have left and the few we have we need to take care of. And yes I am tired of hearing well I am not a big miner or have a lot of cards. You can still help just by mining an address for a day or so. Just think if everyone did this one day per month or so. Like the old saying goes "Don't bite the hand that feeds you."

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

to be honest i prefer if he just increase the fee on the pool a bit, than paying for the miners, it would be a win win situation

It seems [Epsylon3's] work helps and/or helped sp_ profit from people donating to him that he actually never made to begin with.

Excellent point. All the attention was on SP's release mainly because it was more focussed on increasing overal performance but he
also imported optimized kernels and new algos from other devs.

That was just the nature of an immature industry with no competition. As a concious marketing strategy it would likely fail.

Back in the day there was

1. no pool soft freely available

2. no stratum soft freely available

3. only 2-3 people who were actually coding miners including buchner, reorder (1gh admin) etc.

It was similar with ETH at the beginning.. Only a handful of pools (including suprnova Wink) and as soon as some samaritian decides to open source pool soft / stratum we have suddenly 30 or more "pools" popping up all with "sysops" or "admins" who rely on the work of others ... even when fixing problems, just check the github issues of some repository and you'll know whats up Smiley

crypto community, in the meanwhile, is rather toxic. as soon as you give something away for free, be it a stratum for a certain coin or a optimized miner you get either instantly ddosed as the other party opens a pool itself or the miner/optimizations get packed as "private stratum, private kernel" and get sold for > 1 BTC.

Currently the timing is just too bad imho, community has grown, lots of malicious/only profit oriented people around, this is not the "cool, techie" community it was before.

Epsylon3 seems offline at the moment, suggesting there's some issue with his connection right now.
His downtimes are usually pretty brief though...
