sp_ but it's quicker to put on a miner's tax, claymore style, so everyone uses this your super miner who are looking to sell with updates? also because just change version and write more stability, but instead, and always the same, there are many tricks to deceive people in order to earn 4 pennies vagabond style. attention: it is not related to you personally, I just said, to include a fee of 2% or 2.5% so you're more comfortable, and make happy the community of bitcointalk.

I think what sp_ is saying, it's not that people resell the miner they get from him versus donation, more like people that "copy" his optimization by analyzing his miner and make it either opensource or bundle it private with their own optimization + his. That's probably why he keep the juiciest for him, and that may be sound & logic. At least with donation versus fee, he get back a bit of his personal investment. That's how i see things.

Or simply, he gets more money by mining with his kernels than selling them and mining because, in the latter case, the difficulty goes up to the point that the total profit is lower.

Good point too But after all its his choice, it's the same with asic builders, they expand their farm with their new product and only sell them to the public when ROI is done for them, and near impossible for their customers, it's to us to balance out the offer/gain.

Blake based coins are usually mined better with fpga, so it's unlikely that gpus can be profitable. Unless the algorithm is new or weird (like pentablake).

Why? at the moment it seems that decred is decetly profitable, at least in the short term. A better optimized miner for nvidia would make it better than zcash.

There are probably people with FPGAs already on Decred, but they can only expand so fast so hard... Just because they exist doesn't make GPU mining obsolete. Pascalcoin pool miner would still be neat.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

Pascalcoin pool miner would still be neat. There have been for months, just like on sia, vcash and now pascal as well. Of course if you do your math and find it's profitable, you'd better do it, but don't count or invest on it.
