minign is approaching another dead time it seems, i think we need a reset, there are too many miners
Shitty prices now... We're still better then before the Zcash launch. Eth+etc nethash was 8.5Th before zec launch, now it is 10Th. Xmr is +30Mh and zec another 50Mh. This has been possible only because of btc pump, if/when btc corrects to $600-$800 area we are looking at daily revenues below $1/day/card. Interesting times. I'm skeptical that BTC would go sub $800 in the next few months, but who knows. But since most people still use FIAT to pay for most stuff like electricity, altcoin to FIAT is what matters, BTC is secondary. So BTC can remain the same and we'll still likely go below $1/day/card because of altcoin difficulty and prices.

This has been possible only because of btc pump, if/when btc corrects to $600-$800 area we are looking at daily revenues below $1/day/card. Interesting times. I doubt BTC will dump that far. There is a lot of pressure pushing up on the bottom of it to keep it above $1k. I've talked about mining never influencing the economy, but BTC mining is the one exception. There is so much money invested in BTC mining that it actually pays for big mining operations (and their investors) to keep things profitable. I do agree we might see sub $1 a day returns simply due to nethash becoming bloated. Ethereum definitely shook things up and there is a lot of AMD hash floating around hitting all the small coins event when it's not nearly as profitable as most miners have no idea how mining actually works. Hence why long term right now Zcash is generally more profitable then Decred, Lbry, and Pasc. Sometimes those will pop up a bit, but the difficulty shifts generally keep them below Zcash. There are too many miners with waaaay too much hash and not enough knowledge in what they're doing. I am interested in BTC+PASC mining since supposedly PASC can't be improved at all (TM). Sadly the last couple big coins to come hoping along haven't been very profitable for Nvidia. Equihash only was in the beginning then Claymore crushed that.

If btc starts diving it will only take hours to go sub $800 but who knows, it is btc. For me altcoin means coin that doesn't have fiat market, fiat-coin-altcoin. Btc is just another coin, most people hold it because they think they can make some fiat out of it. Why hold when you can go short/ long? I need to use btc almost daily as a gateway, always holding breath with those blocktimes. To be on topic, how is 2000 series going to change the world of mining?

Ethereum+pascal is true. I am successfully dual mining on the gtx 1070..
What Nvidia miner are you using for Pasc and Eth? Edit: After trying this out, it only nets you about $.10 more with Claymore and Nicehash. Dual mining normally with Dcr+Eth nets more revenue.

Starnge situation whith cuda pascal mining. Run proxy, run miners for videoadapters, catch a block, and long silence for a next block... (low diff - pascal light). Again - run proxy...... catch a block - i think proxy for cuda have a bug...

you mean that you hit a bock faster if you restart the proxy every time? or just bad luck i suppose...

In claymores you use --ethi. You need to lower the intensity in the pascal miner as well.. The nicehash pascal miner is shit. I only get 900MHASH on the gtx 1070. (reduce the threads per block parameter to dual mine) With the sp-mod solominer you get 1200MHASH (pascal standalone)..

Sadly small miners have to rely on pools, we can't solo You have to have 200+ gpu's to be able to solo... by the way i get 973Mhs @60% tdp (about 112w nvidia smi) with nicehash miner

No. also something weird i noticed, when you run the miner for a long time, soem block are not acccounted, it say 100 block for example but then you look at the balance and it's not actually 5k coins but a bit less...and doing "refresh" isn't fixing it, seems they are lost edit...not working anymore, just good luck it was, or because if two people do it they would kill the purpose

I think data exchange in this miner and proxy go thru 2 files - datain and headerout. Many shares from my gpu even dont count in this shit proxy...

I'll take a look at --ethi, but without a pool miner it's playing the lottery and it depends heavily on your hashing power. I guess the extra 30% on the Pascal miner is where you're getting the higher profits from. Putting that aside, it's almost pointless to mine solo as the block finds are currently being exploited because of a timestamp bug.
