SPMOD LBRY is giving me 300MH/s. You guys and your super tight. TDPs aren't going to get normal hashing numbers. It still surprises me some of you don't associate turning down the TDP with performance. Equihash is a niche case, you can't strangle the GPU for other algos normally. a 1070 is currently making $1 a day net, cost is included, this is 1 year roi without resale, resale is still very high on these gpu, 80% guaranteed
it's better than leaving your bitcoin doing nothing, this unless bitcoin go much higher after your purchase, that would be a bad luck
actually roi is always far less than the inestement of the gpu, even in the worst case you are still looking at 50% resale value, this mean that roi is 6 months in reality
i've always sold back my gpu without problem on private forum, gamers love used big gpu, i don't care about roi, because i switch immediately to the new gen cards which are more efficency, i never stay forever with the same gpu
Resale only matters at the end of the life of the GPU. I still have some 970s because they're still profitable. Even though they have good 'resale', they aren't worth anywhere close to what they use to be worth and it pays for me to keep them over selling them off. ROI matters to everyone. That's the time at which you start earning money back on your investment. That doesn't change even with resale value. So in 2-3 years when Nvidia releases then 2070 that replaces the 1070, you'll sell them off as you say, but you've still reached ROI and you still sell them for much less then they're worth right now. If you never reach ROI (because you don't care as you say) then you've never made any money and basically mining is pointless. Yeah, yeah... I'm sure you've sold them in a backroom somewhere for 400% their initial value, that STILL doesn't matter. That's not the way businesses work. You can't have a constant stock that doesn't earn you money. That doesn't even make sense. Resale is just for recouping part of your costs. It's not something you do constantly. @bensam1231 You should know by now that mainstream coins rarely ever pay the most.
We've had this discussion... Matter of a fact that's where my SIB rage came from, however, there is only so many coins that can support more then a handful of people or GPUs. I understand that you are probably very profficient in mining, but please do not talk about finance since you really have no clue how business calculate investments. And believe me, no multinational corporation will ever use ROI to decide if the investment is worth it. This index is just too simple to evaluate such a complex thing as an investment and it is constantly being overused in this community. The current standard is to use the Net present value of the discounted cash flow model, and guess what? It takes into account both "buy price" and "selling price" at the end. As it should of course, because without it, you will never calculate right if the investment is worth it. Also stock has nothing to do with it. Awww look at you trying to decide that ROI can and can't be used to determine finances because there is a more appropriate term. No shit there is better 'lingo' that doesn't mean the person can't take those variables into account, such as resale value too. (which is literally what I was talking about in addition to ROI in the exact quote pyramid). Good for you, trying to be a pedant and flail your economic degree around meanwhile completely missing context... You know what the fun thing is about economics? There is always some new model or simulation that shows something completely differently, where someone doesn't take into account the weather or whether or not someone sneezes and completely disproves everyone else and is obsoleted in another year by someone else doing the same thing. Meanwhile when there is any sort of deviation from the norm they all end up wrong, hence why there is no one that can predict where BTC is going except those who end up right by chance (and later wrong once again by chance). I'm sure this doesn't really have anything to do with what I was talking about and you felt the need to defend Amph who doesn't always say or do the most intelligent things in the world (which is why he had quite a few other people jump on him too this time).

Spreadminer #10 results. gtx 1060 3g: 5.3MHASH. (5.8 with oc.) gtx 1070: 8,7MHASH (9.3 with oc)
I have tested the miner this morning and just found a couple of blocks. Spreadcoin sp-mod #10 can be yours for 0.05 BTC With the current difficulty a single gtx 1070 @ 9 MHASH earn $2.85 a day. TSIVS free NVIDIA opensource miner only does around 5MHASH on the gtx 1070

You're a "bit" too optimistic. So, what about zpool guys? Is it worth right now with myr-grs? Some 24h long reports, with real earnings, with opensource and sp mod versions?

Zpool always takes 20-30% of your earnings, so you have to reduce that. Check out a legitimate Digibyte pool if you want to test things out. I recommended theblocksfactory, still do. Digibyte is a huge coin with like 5-6 other algos that are mineable for it. Same thing for Aurora and Myriad coins. Multi-algo coins are always weird when it comes to calculating profit. Unfortunatly yiimp doesn't have myr-gr. Epsylon took down the Zcoin pool as well for some reason.

I think the most profitable right now is groestl http://dwarfpool.com/grs50% more profitable with the sp-mod #1 than zcash on the gtx 1070.

I don't know how you calculate things rune, but GRS even with that speed it's equal to the avg (1.5$/Day gross), even right now. SPR had a massive hashrate spike right now, so it's going south to 1.5$ too in a short time. Good for you to resell the kernels taking BTCs

If you guys didn't get the memo Claymore has a new dual miner for eth+pasc, which is why pasc has been hit so hard. Unless someone improves the Nvidia miner, it's pretty much dead.
480s are earning just as much dual mining as 1070s are just mining normally. -_-

Dual mining eats a lot of energy for RX 480, no ? Not everyone can afford to do that.

you can do 8MH with 70% tdp or above 9MH with 100%
You can reduce the power by using the -x parameter. Lower x value, less power.
