Ok, if you can fit this stuff in 4mb flash i will eat my hat. And try to disable 5 ghz interface, it will maybe add more stability to USB interface. I made this firmware for myself, and shared with community, if you don't like , don't use.
Wooaahh... Hold your horse there! And you have to eat your hat as I managed to stuff all the necessary OpenWRT packages into 2MB flash of ASUS WL-700GE which has internal storage with IDE interface. So 4MB flash is massive space especially if there is USB ports on the router where you can just plug in external storage. With usb stick attached? Try to fit in 4mb without external storage openvpn + luci + cgminer. Look at the flash layout of mr3020 for example. http://wiki.openwrt.org/ru/toh/tp-link/tl-mr30202.5 Mb is not enough for that. This is offtopic, so we must stop i think. P.S. If you can do it better - share your build with community. Target mr3020 without usb storage.

Considering he did it on his own dime... that is saying something about him. I wish I had one to try it on now. The tplink nano is very capable. Look into Avalon 4.1's. They ran special ddwrt with gui as a controller(it loses router wifi and such just runs cgminer). The usb port you hooked the miner up to if 1 or a hub if multiple. So you are not giving this tplink enough credit. I would agree with Smit if you have better release it.

I agree with you there. This is off topic and we must stop. PS: I can definitely do better. But I have much better things to do with my time. You should ask everybody who are willing to spend time on that. OpenWRT already provides everything that you need.

I wonder if it will run the "GekkoScience USB Compac BTC Miner (8-16 GH/s @ 0.3w/GH). "

I wonder if it will run the "GekkoScience USB Compac BTC Miner (8-16 GH/s @ 0.3w/GH). " That is the big question no one knows. The compac emulates a U3.... so it is possible. But no one knows. Also a custom firmware is likely needed to get the cgminer novak made that get's higher speeds on sticks. But I think there is mods in it's future.

31 hours, no errors, continue testing, made some adjustment to firmware, and porting antminer s5 interface to it, stay tuned

I have one a day it seems on zombie on regular comp. That is already pretty impressive. Are you powering with brick that came with it or any special like pcie to power adapters on the U3?

I think that is original, or very close to it. Dang your firmware is looking more and more impressive. Wish I would have known the difference in TPlink nanos about 6 months ago. I needed to extend range temporary and got 2 thinking I could use them after..... but mine is the one without usb. For others get the one with usb on it that is the one you want.

They might be able to run it but only usb is power adapter. Unless there is a mod to add usb (which I will be honest I have not kept up on). But this is sparking my interests.

Sad, but this routers unsupported 2mb flash is too small for openwrt. Best option is gl-inet, it has the ability to drive up to 5 relays via gpio, so you can reset u3 by timer next target in nexx wt-3020 15$ router with hardware nat, 64 mb ram, 8 mb flash and 600 mhz processor

And to smit1237: running at 850mV on that brick, keep an eye on the BRICK!!! There's a good chance it might start to melt (theres a few posts about that already)!

Going from au3 0 to au3 1 over 31 hours is good (it means it kept mining) instead of going zombie and stop's mining altogether.

Jake36Thanks for the info! Will keep an eye on this psu. bmoscatoMaybe, but i think this is caused by outage of main router for about an hour or so But miner still works, this is all i need. I need to find a block ! As said earlier: if it works don't touch it

I've tried different power supplies different quality USB cables and I've had units run for over a week without rolling to another port or going zombie, then I've had cases where the same setup goes zombie in less than 2 hours without even rolling from AU3 0 to AU3 1. The best luck I've had was running the units solo with the old version of CG Miner that Bitmain has for download on their site, but I have issues trying to get a second unit to run.

Hmm, i only tested on solo mining, maybe next test will be nicehash, i think this is worst scenario, jumping from coin to coin, i only have one unit, so i can't test multiple u3 on one controller, if someone want to volunteer i can help with firmware setup.
