Hi, I am a bit confused of this pair Electronic Gulden and just Gulden (NLG). How are they differ in the value they offer to the Dutch society?

Hi Naska,

It is very confusing. It's deliberate obfuscation of the Gulden-team. e-Gulden(EFL) came first (block 1 = 2014-03-19); Guldencoin(NLG) came later (block1 = 2014-03-29). After the large e-Gulden media campains guldencoin hitch-hiked on that.
September 2015 Guldencoin changed their name to Gulden obfuscating the difference even more. They market specifically in the Bitcoin-spheres presenting themselves as the dutch country coin but their main expressions are in English. In the Netherlands Gulden focussus on convincing merchants (about 100 now (of about 2 milion businesses)) to be named as acceptants. The e-Gulden-foundation focusses on education and expresses itself mainly in Dutch. You can clearly see the difference in content by comparing https://e-gulden.org/index.php/nieuwsbrieven with https://gulden.com.

The different styles of operating are also quite visible. A few examples:
- Gulden hijacked e-gulden.com and redirected it to gulden.com. The team looks, feels and smells "commercial". The e-Gulden Foundation uses the .org domain and is founded by community volunteers.
- Gulden promised to donate 90% of their premine to the Dutch for educational purposes, but they are using it (60% already) to boost their marketcap. They removed all premine accounting. The e-Gulden foundation promised the same and they stick to that promise presenting accounting up to the satoshi https://e-gulden.org/index.php/campagnes
- Gulden (NLG) total supply will be 1,6 Billion, e-Gulden (EFL) total supply will be 21 Million. No problem but they should have called themselves Cent, knowing EGulden already exists.
- Allong with changing their name they also removed blockreward halving and dropped the blockreward 90%, clearly to the benefit of first-year miners. The next sixty years there will be mined 55.000NLG daily. Seven years from now there will be mined 1 EFL daily. Current price is about equal.
- NLG resorts to a Applying a future pow2 concept which is a merge between POW and POS combined with supernodes. A technical monster :-) . e-Gulden implemented Oerushield, favouring loyal miners and eliminating 51% attack/double spend problem, and enabling infinate operation. A loyal base of GPU-miners will do.

Thanks for detailed clarification. I wonder which one gets mass  adoption in Netherlands. I have heard that  merchants over there maintain  strong  adoption of NLG. But what about e-Gulden?

Strong adoption? Such statements are typical for NLG. It is obfuscation of reality. It is simply not true. NLG is talking about 100 merchants. The Netherlands have 1.5 Million enterprises. That means that less than 0,01% is accepting NLG. 100 accepting merchants as he result of a project of 3,5 years is a failure. They tried hard and failed. EFL never tried. We try to educate. We certainly don't stimulate to spend EFL. It is hard enough not to loose your cryptocurrency and to keep your private keys safe. To us it is shocking there are only 500 active Bitcoin nodes in the Netherlands and only 10.000 BTC nodes worldwide. The number of corewallets of EFL, NLG and BTC in the Netherlands are around 500 each. None of them have any significant presence. NLG is trying to start at the end and they will get nowhere.

Hello kyxap,   this is not our hotline. maybe 24 hours is reasonable.  Not for a transaction though. The mainchain is growing smooth.
Sounds like your wallet is/was somewhere private. How many connections do you have? Is your wallet synchronised? What is you walletversion?

That doesn't sound up to date. I didn't ask for the qt-version, but the corewallet-version. The latest core-version has qt 5.7.1 by the way.
https://github.com/Electronic-Gulden-Foundation/egulden/releases/latest

Two scenario's depending on your memorypool: After reindex with new version the transaction will be retransmitted. Verify this on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/efl OR transaction is canceled after 256 blocks like with bitcoin only five times faster.

Why do you hesitate? Commission (i.e.transaction fees) are calculated automatically.  Normally it will be about 0.002EFL/Kb. If you  have 201 inputs it will normally be 200 Bytes per input so 40K. 0.01 EFL will do but the wallet will do the calculation for you.

I tried to send a transaction a couple of weeks ago, but it was unable to confirm. Is there an updated client that can fix?

Hello, about the first stage of the oeruschildcampagne, is there a date for the participation payments? I know that it says that it will be the first week of November, but the second stage is already running, and if you want to make a stand with someone that will be invited to participate in the second stage, the payments of the first stage will be a good argument.

Thanks.

The first week of november payments were transmitted indeed: https://e-gulden.org/index.php/campagne=0010-oeru1

The second stage is active and followed the first one instantaneously. Maximum payment will be 1000 EFL while there are are 1464 hours till year-end.
We need to send a new invitation mailing but 250 wallets already made the connection for the second stage. Some 250 hours left to start and to be able to reach the payout max

You might need to give others some help, especially if they don't read dutch. They need to link you through your emailaddress.
As ambassador you don't need to do much, though you can see their connection and their wallet-performance (connection time in hours), so you can help to solve misconfigurations.
Don't hesitate to ask our help yourself through mail or pm. (mail will be faster). It can be found on the website: https://e-gulden.org/index.php/campagne_oeruschild

Indeed, payments were made within the first week of November, and the second stage seems to be going as designed. Thanks to the Foundation for the good work it is doing on the campaigns.

I only have a question:

Did someone has tried using the 32 bit wallet for windows in Windows XP? Is it safe (assuming you have a good antivirus and firewall)?

Thanks and congratulations for the good work.
