You really should check out the Factom Slack. As I mentioned, Paul Snow is a mod, and at least two other Factom devs are members. So is Daniel Castagnoli (apparently a big FCT fan), one of the founders of Exodus.io, whose wallet will be integrating FCT in a week or so. It's a great conversation—a breath of fresh air after the relentless trolling and general lunacy of this thread over the past few months ...

Indeed. lets just keep ignoring the guy, which I don't even mention by name anymore. Every regular visitor here knows his nonsense messages. He is short since before the last rise and disappointed FCT stayed high this time. Then you will do everything you can to fud. I just laugh when I see another attempt to spread nonsense. Lets all keep doing that and never respond directly to him. He will stay around and likely try to let us respond to him, but just keep in mind: if you do so, you give him what he is looking for.

Isn't everything in crypto based on hype? Actually Factom might be the first project in crypto which actually DOES something.

All other do nothing, it s pure speculation. Besides BTC, which is definitely store of value and a medium of exchange, performing some functions of money.

I think Blockchain technology is is a serious technology, but crypto isn't. Yes, you can make money with the right amount of luck and some knowledge. But as long as the most important crypto exchange in the world has a trollbox with weirdo's floating around all day, nobody is going to take it very serious. The fact that crypto is a small market makes it possible for some to make money. For the rest it's just one big playground imho. By the way, this is not a judgement about Factom's business, but about the world of crypto in general. 

Yes, there are a lot of hype when it comes to blockchain technology and we will have to wait and see how things will shape in future. I think if blockchain technology is properly implemented, it can drastically change our way of life.
We got project such as Ethereum which can revolutionize the world with smart contracts, off course, there is a lot of work to do fix it.

I voted for Monero and Factom.
Two projects that I think will go up in value as they are exposed to more users.
2017 could be a very good year for FCT if the new network improves performance and we are able to get the coin listed on more wallets/ exchanges.

As soon as M2 got rolled out then they will start implementing it.
It will take at least a few weeks before all is done.

a question that came up:
is there a complete total amount of FCT? will the process of burning/creating always be going on, or are the burned FCT somehow "reused"? if it goes on "forever", how so? are they being mined? even premined? thin air? thanks
