I think its going to b at least a week till we hit 6$. If 5.4 breaks, well see a further decline to 5.30 and then back up (unless we break below 5.25$).

I don't think it'll necessarily be a while before it bumps... for reasons completely unrelated to anything on the charts.
I think much of what's driving demand is the media's observation that the price has been more or less stable for quite a long time. That's enough to cause a snowball effect. If the media starts piling on the "look, bitcoins were never dead after all, and really are a stable store of wealth and the economy is growing and thriving"... well then... more google searches on Bitcoin, more eyeballs, more interest.
|
Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable. I never believe them. If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins. I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion. Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice. Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

Another explosive rally, just about to happen ? I THINK SO Why? There was a fair amount of buying between the lows in the $4s 3 months ago or so. With all the liquidity that's piled up on the buy side of things I think the view of further price decreases is more compelling as the people who bought between, say, somewhere in the $4s and $5.20 or so take their profits. I think this will go on for several weeks, maybe even months.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

I gave my mom ~2 bitcoins... I have a feeling they will make up a good chunk of her pension by the time she retires.

Were you around last year? There were times when I went to sleep and woke up several dollars later, and I didn't oversleep.
