I'm sure there's more where that came from.  This have been too positive lately.  I wouldn't even be surprised to see the order book flip around.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

agreed. i love rising bitcoin price, but too quickly and too much means it scares people and makes things unstable.

The ask wall is there to scare people into selling so the manipulator can accumulate before breaking $7.2. We're in an upward channel in a strong trend.

There is no manipulator.  The ask wall is there because its owner is hoping to sell 20k+ bitcoins at that price.

How could I tell if its someone attempting to manipulate the market, or just selling their btc? You seem very knowledgeable and I'm looking to learn.

the wall gets tested with a few hunders coins
if it holds then ya... someone really does want to sell and its not a "fake wall"
but i think even the "fake walls" are real, they just got scared and pulled out, trying to get a better price
after you've looked at and traded on the market, you'll start see that... believe it or not the bids and asks are people trying to buy or sell.

and all my experience tells me 1 of 2 things will happen now

the wall gets bought and we keep going up
OR
the books are flipped and we start going down

if you see more asks pill up...

it would seem that volume is going up along with price

to me this screams legit correction and not manipulation.

i think we are very close too but haven't found the top, and the bottom is a hell of alot closer then most think

stabilize at 6 point crazy for a while, and then move up and over 8, and then a slow and steady drop to 6 dot ridiculous

my money is waiting for 6 dot ridiculous  Wink

Oh I see. Well Putting a big sell order up like that discourages me from buying, because it will take a lot of "work" to tear down the wall. Which means following the path of least resistance is downwards a bit. But then again from what I've seen the past two weeks walls can come and go and I even saw a buy wall get sold into so what do I know.

Surely it's nicer to buy knowing you'll be able to buy at a definite price into that wall? Would you rather buy without the wall and as you buy see the price continue to go up so you end up buying some of your coins at a higher price?

That depends on the volume you are looking to trade.

Thanks for being so patient and trying to teach people.

Guys, this is perfectly normal. 21k BTC at 6.75 USD, if he bought within the last months around 5.2, give over 32k USD profit in a relatively short time. We're talking a potential 30% short-term profit here! Even if everyone is quite bullish, why in the world would people be surprised? If nobody were to do such offers, wouldn't that be more reason to worry? In fact, current volume is somewhat lower, not higher, than I'd have expected.

Feel free to be bullish, the market is hard to read right now so I have no complaints, but expecting that no one would take profits is unreasonable.
