Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Nah, let him keep it... in fact, let him keep his guess of single digits by March 2013 as well. It will put the rest of his forecasts in context  Cheesy

I'm not feeling $8.

A large part of me just doesn't accept that a Bitcoin is worth this much. Is there some important news I'm missing?

hehe, I'll put one up...

at $10.21  Kiss

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

Does it indicate anything in particular when the two curves are so lopsided?

Aaaaaand it's gone.

The $400k bid wall I mean.

My personality type: INTJ - please forgive my weaknesses (Not naturally in tune with others feelings; may be insensitive at times, tend to respond to conflict with logic and reason, tend to believe I'm always right)

RESPECT, that lucky bastard just made a quick 320 BTC in 2h 20 min.

1. Bought 10k BTC at, on average, 7.88$/BCT (from 7.76$/BTC to 8.00 $/BTC)

2. Put his 50k BTC ASK wall up at 7.90$/BTC, did nothing

3. Huh

4. Profit: Sold the 10k BTC at, on average, 8.14$/BTC (8.00$/BTC to 8.28$/BTC)

--> Made rough 320 BTC = 3.2% profit, risked nothing, gained 320 BTC.

The order book provides a decent amount of input to every trading decision. It should not be trusted completely, but it would be foolish to ignore it altogether.
