Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

How come Mt.Gox is still showing me a price in the 130s? Does it have a slow refresh rate for guests?

Prolly not 'till Monday.

Alright, true Smiley
Still, it makes me wonder... this has happened so many times and it just keeps happening.

What the hell, some random walls appeared between 120 and 125 for a split second? Are these delayed trades from earlier in the day finally executing?!?

I still have no idea what the market is actually looking like, but sadly MtGox set us up for this with their incompetency.  We had two hours where you couldn't do anything BUT cancel orders.  Everyone started to guess at a dip when it came up and canceled their buys leaving a pretty hollow bid section for a while.  Totally artificial and all Gox's fault.

It's great, actually.  Opportunity to buy cheap.

My guess is that the crash isn't over, we might hit $100 and bounce really hard.  Still, only momentary...
