The good news is that the market cannot CRASH on MtGox. It will land down .. very slowly .. like a feather ;-)

Mt.Gox is embarassing. It's not like they haven't had time to fix this issue. I can't understand that someone with 80% of BTC trade, with that responsibility, is so nonchalant about this. Are they stupid?

You need to do 2 separate orders of $500. $500 is the max amount per transfer, with a daily limit of $2000.
Thank you.

$113: I think we're starting to see some real panic selling.

Just got off the phone with the Coinlab CEO and he promised me that they and their investors are backing every Bitcoin and $$ balance any trader holds on GOX and they will be offering a buyback at $147 / Bitcoin to mend the havoc they have made on the market by having a stray dog running around in the server room earlier this morning.

Awesome news!
is this not a joke???

The part about the buyback is a joke. The part about the dog isn't.

Yeah, it was a joke. The bad news is that the press noticed the havoc. There is a story from CNN on r/Bitcoin. This is going to take more than a few days to repair public perception. MtGox have to take full blame and publicly apologize not to stain Bitcoin or they'll loose their business and everybody else's.!

It might go lower, the Mt. Gox Confuser Smoother is in operation.

Maybe a little, but strong resistance at 107 so IMO not likely to go much further right now.

But who knows. Tongue

BTC-E is a joke.  They're constantly 10 to 15 behind every other exchange on good days.

So who else made some money on the dip?   Grin
I made a bit, but not nearly as much as I could have if I hadn't chickened out and rebought some coins only slightly below what I had sold them for.
The peak went a lot higher than I had thought, feared the dip might not go quite as low because everybody would be waiting to buy on the dip.
