https://hashtalk.org/topic/28881/response-to-charlie-richards-of-cointelegraph

Obviously not written by Josh. Looks like someone is employing self taught lawyers at GAW. :-)

BitJane got promoted maybe!?  Roll Eyes
This person does not write like BitJane even though the feel of the wording structure does contain a feminine undertone.

I believe he has hired someone to write on his behalf, but even they appear to be all fluff with nothing behind their words. Rather than searching a word for its various definitions, try posting some case law references. Using the same/similar textual grammar in every post leaves a lot to be desired; no matter how many - - - - dashes/hyphens are used instead of semicolons.

Next...

GaW announced a buyback program at 20 starting Feb 1st. Should be interesting

Signup starts feb 1. Payback starts in March and can take forever because they're only "promising" to pay out 100k per month.

It's perfect for them.

People go crazy buying lots of XPY so that they can sell them (right now) at five times their investment. Who wouldn't?

Good luck to anyone who is still in this.

The Chamber of Digital Commerce has a seat at the US Treasury's Roundtable and is actively seeking input from the community to prepare for the event. On January 13 the U.S. Treasury is hosting a Roundtable Discussion on Financial Access for Money Service Businesses. The Chamber formed the Financial Access Task Force to prepare comments, and is calling on the industry to participate in an important survey to present data to the Treasury.

The new agreement states that the owners of the escrowed XPY agree to sell them to GAW at a price of $20 per. However, it does not state that GAW agrees to buy them from the current owners at $20 per.

Good catch!  They are essentially duping people into **giving** away for free a "call" right with a variable estimated 16+ year term.  In exchange, you get to "participate" in the miniscule dividend payout.  Its too bad we don't have derivatives markets for coins yet, but if we did given the volatility the call right would cost a pretty penny ... so users give up the call for nothing, and get no put right in return.  Cool deal for GAW.

I am thinking about topping GAW's offer but only for accredited investors since I really enjoy my life outside of jail.  Maybe buy the calls for a 15 year fixed payout of $25 per coin?    Hmmm

The fantastical part of this latest fake by Josh & Co. is that they are actually calming investors who think Paycoin might be a Ponzi with an in your face LOW PAYING PONZI!

Josh: Did I say I would pay you $20 for a $5 investment!? Uhhh. What I meant was I would pay you a projected return of $20 on a $5 investment spread out over a long period of time, and the people I choose get paid first out of a limited payout fund (and I choose  ME!! HAHA ! Eff you Morons!).

Rootdude: Uhhhh, but like, that's what a ponzi is dude....

Beavis: Uhh, Yah, Ponzi, like, what he said. uhhhuh.

Long article about GAW and Paycoin.

http://coinbrief.net/paycoin-succeeding-dangerous/

Quote
Then, with Hashtalk posts, it is often the case that posts were not actually deleted at all, but instead, the URL of the post was changed.  When speaking with Josh Garza on Friday, he explained that this was an issue related to a limitation in the forum software they were using, which automatically changes the url of a topic if the title of the topic is changed.  It does this without adding a 301 redirect to forward links to old url on to the new one.  Of course, it seems like there should be some sort of workaround for this, but he claims that there is not.  He also stated that GAW will be moving away from Hashtalk, and back to a more formal website for important announcements in the near future.

Pretty sure you can link to the thread without using the title
i.e. https://hashtalk.org/topic/28881/response-to-charlie-richards-of-cointelegraph and https://hashtalk.org/topic/28881
both link to the same place and the second link will still work if the title changes. I'm very sure that threads were deleted and not just renamed

If what they posted on their blog is true, expect a mad stampede rush to buy up tons of paycoin in the next day... you could get 5x their value.

http://blog.paybase.com/paybase-honors-20-paycoin/

That being said, you have to trust GAW, and they're running low on the trust meter.

That is how you can be the 3rd party escrow and participant at the same time.

"third-party" implies that it's not one of the parties participating in the transaction, so no, you can't.

It was a joke... a lame attempt at one... but a joke nonetheless.

My bad Smiley

So there's a good chance of getting the full $20 out of them.

What makes you think there's money?. No matter which of the failure theories you subscribe to - scam or incompetence - you wouldn't be able to recover any damages. You could get something out of them by suing only if they were a profitable business, of which there hasn't been any indication since the early days of hashlets.

And yes. Both of these idiots appear to be real people. Scary.

If anything, they gave us a reason to watch the market numbers for the next day. It was getting boring watching the BTC and Ripple tank this week.  It looks like paycoin is up 35% today. I'm glad they're not controlling the market (yuk-yuk-yuk).  Wink

Idiots tend to underestimate the intelligence of others. Which is why traders in the market always seem to disappoint them.
