Dafuq? Never mind always profitable and never obsolete, now they can't pay even one satoshi? As if there was any more proof needed that they are in deep financial shit I wonder if that includes CashTakers or not. I doubt it myself. That would induce gaw-faithful riots i think. Edit, then again, maybe this shit is finally collapsing in real time.

Aaaand this is where the real lawsuits start. Sorry Homero, you don't tell people something is forever and never obsolete and then take it away and make it completely obsolete beyond reasonable doubt.

https://encyclopediadramatica.se/Paycoin Fearing the worst, one user went back and read the brand new, edited terms of Service GAW set up for it's Paycoin and Paybase products.
4.3 Risk that Paycoin May Never be Completed or Released. Purchaser understands that, while the Company will make reasonable efforts to complete the Paycoin software, it is possible that an official completed version of Paycoin may not be released and there may never be an operational Paycoin, Prime Controller, or HashStaker.
4.4 Paycoins May Have No Value. Paycoin is a new cryptocurrency and its value is determined by supply and demand. At any point after its release, it is possible that the market price of a Paycoin may be zero. Because the value of Paycoin may be zero, the value of a stake, in Paycoins, from a HashStaker may also be zero.
In regular people speak: trust josh or get out of Paycoin while you still can. Wow. Yeah. It's pretty funny that the "$20 floor" was shot in the face right in the TOS. In light of this you can bet that the $20 buyback probably won't happen or will happen in such small measure that it will be as if it never happened. After all, those coins are going into escrow and can be there as long as the "third party" wants... or until the other party cancels the escrow and returns the worthless paycoins to their unlucky owners.

There was no reason to take those away (if they did that - I don't own any Genesis so I don't know). Actually now that I think about it - Prime hashlets were probably also still profitable due to double dip. Perhaps the recent LTC profitability increase did them in. Wouldn't this technically make that false advertisement then or a bait and switch?
The switch happened three months ago (ZenPool crash). It's just now more evident and brazen.

theouterlimitz Team PayCoin XPY Verified Merchant Yep, I was on ZEN when all of the sudden a refresh and that big chunk of red font, speaking in massive negatives appeared glaringly. I can only imagine how my solos feel sitting in this chunk of cyberspace looking pretty but not doing anything.
Not surprising at all! Perhaps GAW can be first-to-market with hydrogenfusion or is it fission, or someother vaporware energy tech and bring the power to cost ratio down, and reactivate hashing.
Perhaps. https://hashtalk.org/topic/30585/cloudmining-disabled/4

Let me make an analogy. Ford has this brand new car that retails for $10,000. They say hey, you pay us $30,000, we'll pay for your gas forever and any maintenance on the car, but you're still renting it from us. You do not own it, you rent it. Guaranteed forever. It will never be obsolete. Then the oil price rises so maintenance becomes expensive. They say, "Hey, look, the maintenance to pay you gas forever like we promised is just too high. Since you're renting and you don't own anything, we're discontinuing the service and taking our car back. Thanks for doing business with us." Does that make it a bit more serious to anybody?
AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY CRYPTO ISN'T MAINSTREAM

Aaaand this is where the real lawsuits start. Sorry Homero, you don't tell people something is forever and never obsolete and then take it away and make it completely obsolete beyond reasonable doubt. Is this for existing miners or new clients? Good question I logged into my account to check it out, my genisis gift hashlet payed out its 6k satoshi 5 hours ago and I was able to withdraw 5 dollars in BTC so other than the announcement it seems nothing has changed. The market is a joke tho those zens for sale at 1.81...
