Having read the white paper and read the original CCN XPY article (my effort at due diligence), I participated in the POW phase and have since hoped that despite what I've been reading here (I arrived late), there might still be a reasonable possibility that XPY might come through (if only via development take-over).  However, I've finally given up and transferred my forty coin stake to Cryptsy for hopeful sale!  Fingers crossed that the market survives a few months longer to help people such as myself to get out.

You should probably minimize your risk and sell a portion before Feb 1st (if you are not willing to sell everything yet). just because it looks like the buyback program will be delayed or canceled all together. That will tank the price and it will not recover to the current numbers ever again.

Somebody here should call them Monday. Josh is probably lying.... AGAIN.
Josh says this: "We hired Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP 2 weeks ago"
Reality probably is: "We filled out the contact form on their website & clicked submit 2 weeks ago"

haha that made me laugh. and is most likely the truth Cheesy

hopefully CoinFire will make an FOIA request to the SEC when the probe is over & release all the documents
i think it costs some money to file tho

You know we will regardless of cost although if he is planning on suing us as he has made threats to do so several times over we will likely be entitled a lot of things in the discovery process Smiley

Our attorneys have nearly reviewed all of the materials we have at the moment but now we have to play it safe and see what his next move will be.

I think the silver lining for you is that the recent Hashlet termination seems to show GAW being very low on cash (they couldn't keep a website running to continue paying 1 satoshi to customers?) so the probability of them going forward with a lawsuit is not very high.

Don't take this as legal advice though.  Grin

For some reason I find this to be incredibly odd:

6 days ago:

Quote
I know from the outside, it sees like not a lot is happening.

https://hashtalk.org/topic/30213/small-update-update/73

Today:

Quote
To the outside, I know it seems like nothing is happening.

https://hashtalk.org/topic/30624/status-of-paybase/1

I cannot quite wrap my head around it. How does that work? The same "phrase" or sentence stored in a word processor and plugged in as needed?  A collection of one-liners he draws from to make up his announcements or posts? Who does this?  To me this is not flowing from his brain as he writes it, it is quite clearly something regurgitated. And most certainly not something drawn from his memory bank.  Who or what is writing for him?  This is absolutely abnormal.

Those schmucks over on Hashtalk still think they will be getting the terms of the Buyback & it will be launching on Monday. What a bunch of fools. I can't wait until Monday, this should be really funny.

Too tired to go back right now but didn't he just ask for friends and family to get legal advice for him since he didn't have anyone a couple days ago.  If so that confirms another lie of hiring a new law firm 2 weeks ago.

Strikes me this bizarre late posting is a precursor to Feb 1 not happening.  It is like he was tossing and turning all night, what should I do, what should I do.

Hang on.

Here.

All drawn off the Coinbase recent queries about advertizing and compliance.  Let's pull the "do it right card no matter how long it takes".

Buy some time. Paycoins not accepted.

I guess someone more knowledgeable than me will find out if he has even hired this lawyer.  I wonder if they will divulge anything like payment amounts or the nature of their advice.  I wonder if he retained a lawyer since he is a criminal or to straighten out the regulatory mess he has created for himself.

End of the day, the guy has no moral fiber and back bone in his body to do the right thing, the lies on lies and false promises have built up higher than the fabled Tower of Babel.

If Josh has hired lawyers etc - its only to defend him in a court of law - such is the low life criminal.

I would be telling the SEC or someone to keep a close eye on him so he doesn't skip town - which I am nearly 100% sure he is planning to do, most of his scheme/scam is complete.

The Chamber’s Founder and President, Perianne Boring, will be joined by Carol Van Cleef (Partner at Manatt, Phillips and Phillips),

http://newsbtc.com/2014/09/29/chamber-digital-commerce-heritage-foundation-present-panel-bitcoin/

Interesting did Homero not pretend to have had dinner with Perianne on his imaginary media tour? Then a direct query into her relationship yielded that she never heared of the loser?

So now he is scrambling around to align himself with this new self-proclaimed crypto currency expert?

One really has to wonder if this is even true.  Homero hangs on to the law firms name for 7 days after announcement of their retention, drops the nugget on the weekend, just before the launch of his next bucket of shit, so no one can verify.  How quickly after the failure of the Homero System launch on Sunday will a new legal firm's name be bandied about?

Why does he keep changing lawyers?
When he talks to lawyers & fills them in on what is happening, they are probably like "You did what? Are you out of your mind? It's still going on? Shut it down! You are totally fucked." So he just keeps on looking for a lawyer who will tell him what he wants to hear.

I made a complaint by email this morning to NY AG listing all of my complaints against the company and asking him to intervene. He has just shut down 80 sites as being scams and issued warrants for the arrest of owners.Garzo selling his house and employing Lawyers is only to get his assets out of the Gov reach and to protect him against criminal action.Nothing to do with getting regularity approval

Those schmucks over on Hashtalk still think they will be getting the terms of the Buyback & it will be launching on Monday. What a bunch of fools. I can't wait until Monday, this should be really funny.

Just FYI:
I spoke to Ms. Van Cleef in depth about Mr. Garza between January 4th and 6th of this year. She was made aware of the allegations against Garza along with his claims at that time and confirmed:

"Josh Garza is not a member of the [Digital] Chamber, and the Chamber has never accepted any donation or other funding or support from him. The fact that the Chamber is sponsoring the AML Compliance Boot Camp for Digital Currency in conjunction with the Miami BTC conference does not in any way imply any association with or endorsement of Mr. Garza's appearance at the Conference.
Likewise Ms. Boring's participation in the conference is not an endorsement of and does not in any way imply any association with Mr. Garza or his companies.

The Boot Camp is one of the Chamber's most important initiatives to help companies in the digital currency community understand better what their anti-money laundering compliance obligations are and how to best satisfy these obligations ways that will protect their organizations from criminal abuse and enable them to maintain healthy banking relationships.  The Boot Camp was scheduled around the Miami BTC conference to make it more accessible to members of the digital currency community attending the conference.

Please note that, as a general policy, the Chamber makes every effort to ensure that its members are of the highest integrity and subjects any company or individual that applies for membership in the Chamber to a rigorous vetting process that includes peer review. No exceptions are made to this policy."

Ms. Van Cleef also gave me her permission to publish the above statement as needed if the topic ever came up.

Does this mean Garza could have still retained her law firm, a separate entity from the Digital Chamber, since the Miami event? Anything is possible - the law firm is large and nationwide.

Is it likely this is the case? Based on what her and I talked about and her general position on the matter, I would say NO.

Regardless, I have placed both a direct call and sent an email to Ms. Van Cleef tonight regarding this latest Garza "announcement" and I am awaiting her reply. One way or another, I expect to get a definitive answer and will act accordingly.

Good stuff.

Also ask her about putting together a group lawsuit against him. How many people needed, rough costing etc. 100 scammed customers x 1200 retainer each, should be sufficient? Now the crash of the cloud mining, there surely should be enough cheated customers to gather a large enough group. Coupled with all of those who depended on the 20 dollar hologram floor and sunk their wive's and grandmother's last nickels into his scheme.

Of course if she declines such an endeavor owing to conflict of interest. Well, that would explain that.

What do you mean by "act accordingly?" What will you do if she confirms? If she doesn't confirm?

It's good that you contacted her, as catching him in additional lies helps to expose him, but I don't know what kind of immediate action one would take either way.

Another one is that Victor Vargas. There is such a bizarre rabid loyalty amongst them all, that something cannot be right  Cheesy

Is this the same Victor Vargas? Seems to re-tweet this bullshit at every opportunity even though he has another twitter account?

https://twitter.com/djvictorvargas

Good grief, he even swooped in from the rafters to comment on a comment in the comment section of amazon.com.  Guy must be sweeping every forum, every comment section everywhere for anything related to paycoins, so that he can address whatever anyone says.

Who in their right mind does this?

Just wanted to post this in in case it gets deleted.  But more of a LOL what perfect timing to post that Homero and then this happens today.  Also you cant have hired the best law firm in the country - you asked for specific information in the forum and if anyone had family lawyers lololol .... then you cant have hired the best talent in the country because nothing works. Any programmer worth their salt wold make sure they delivered...excuses for your poor management.   The only thing that does work is your bots are pumping and dumping the shit coin.

You are not waiting you are pumping and dumping the shit coin and closing shop, to disappear with your private farm and put all your companies in a bankrupt status, never affecting your personal status.  Snake.

Seriously its people like this who think they can run companies be ceos end up being the worst at it.
