GAW should just change the name on their SHA version.
I wonder if gaw will try making another coin this time a scrypt one and run this all over again? Different coin and name of course...but still? ? I now expect to see a BFL coin a KNC coin etc so it goes post 8000 Blimey. Have we worked out who the bad guys are yet? there are no good or bad, merely people with differing opinions. You win the thread!! We can close it now.

awsome to hear -dekay- btw what made you quit and join us if you dont mind me asking one day u ban me the next day u quit gaw
Hi I have been here for a few months, actually during all my tenure at GAW, so I have read up, and kept an open mind, I still do. Your banning was NOTHING personal, and was carried out against the (now finally published) guidelines. I had been thinking of quitting for a while, so it wasnt a big surprise, it was known about within my inner circle of of friends, so I just got up one day and thought "this is it", my reasons were made public as I believe in transparency. Thats not a miner, thats a staking wallet, you need to buy the coin to go in it and hope that you get some profits from it

Mine worked fine. I've just transferred my meager balance of XPY to Cryptsy for the "pump" that will never happen, lol.

i'll just put this here: We have a small victory.
Last week PayCoin (the original) was gonna be delisted of have its name changed once the fake paycoin was gonna be listed.
Supposedly, Josh Garza had contacted all the exchanges informing them that he "owned" the rights and trademark of PayCoin and it seemed like all the exchanges were gonna bow down to the King Troll.
But it seems we have made enough noise and a solid enough case against the fake PayCoin and against Josh Garza that out real PayCoin will remain listed and under its original name.
So it's nice seeing the fake paycoin listed specifically as GAW PayCoin.
The one complaint I have is that they list the real paycoin as the "older" pay coin when in reality it should be listed as the "original" PayCoin.
I'll see if I can get that changed since we are the original paycoin.
excellent news! well done Vlad What's the deal with the trademark application? Did GAW get the rights to use the name? Trademark applications take about 17 months to be processed. The application has not even been published yet, which is the first step. Opposition statements have already been filed against GAW. There is prior use in the same industry. More than likely the trademark application will be denied when it finally gets to the review stage. Prior use existed, GAW knew about it and lied about it on the application. That is a big no no. IMO, perjury was committed in filing the application. They'll probably get it if they can demonstrate that PayCoin is an established cryptocurrency and people are actively using it and referring to it by that name. Prior use means nothing if the name wasn't registered. (That said, I am not a trademark lawyer..) The registration process. Some people believe that registration is the process of turning a name into a trademark. Actually, it's the opposite. You can't get a registration unless the name already is a trademark. Once your examiner is satisfied that you have a trademark, registration is granted and that enhances your already-existing trademark rights. Registration gives the owner a presumption of ownership, provides constructive notice to other companies in the U.S., and offers the hope of incontestability (after a few years). Registration may also increase your payment in case of a willful infringement.
The unregistered trademark. As noted, an unregistered first user of a trademark can often claim trademark rights within the geographic selling area. But keep in mind that having an unregistered name is not the same as having an unregistered trademark. You can't claim trademark rights, unless the moniker meets the legal requirements of a trademark -- that is it's distinctive and associated with your goods and services. From http://dearrichblog.blogspot.com/2013/01/do-unregistered-trademarks-have-rights.html

O on another note i got my spondoolies units today... 3.5TH. I've been mining digibyte as i need a base amount for a community project. Is XPY rental still profitable in its final day or should i not bother. I'm pretty sure in the last 6 hours i've done more mining then josh has. I can do a video tour if anyone wants and show my ass crack. My farms a bit boring though 2 x 1500W power supplies and 2 x spondoolies.
You can still get twice the BTC rate on Westhash/Nicehash. So do it. They are paying out 104% now. They haven't been above 160% in the past 24 hours. So there is virtually no advantage to not just be mining BTC again unless renting your hash to Paycoin miners helps slow difficulty for a bit. It's paying out at a rate 104% higher than normal BTC mining. 100% != regular BTC rate, that would be 0%--it's still profitable to continue with these ridiculous rentals, but I imagine they will continue to diminish through the weekend.

The thing is, they were banking on PaySave to carry them to victory. Being able to use their shitcoin on merchant's websites via a third party software was their in because no way in hell they could partner up with the merchants. So, they bought out ZincSave, which as it's been found out actually got shut down by Amazon. Nice acquisition Homero. Lol. Anyways, PaySave violates every single one of the retailer's Terms of Service, so they will get cease and desists, obviously, from all those company's legal teams and then what will even be the point of Paycoin? You can't actually use it to pay for anything other than some shitty merch store. If you want proof, I advise you to take 5 minutes, go to any of the accepted retailer's website, look in their terms of service for 30 seconds and clearly see what I'm explaining. It's usually addressed in the first 5% of the form. We also discuss it 5 pages back or so.

If you install the new wallet it will sync to the current blockchain.
