This is an interesting twist. To discourage dumping they will create this Premier level. Quite innovative too - it can alter KYC requirements: "Higher transaction limits more quickly than standard verification will offer". I wonder what happens once you become a "Premier", does it enforce a certain dump/buy ratio? That would be great, they just need to offer a free mandatory Premier upgrade to everyone

You probably buy the item in paybase. Then no coins have to be allocated to you at all.

Jimmothy is right. A lot of new coins get hit by a large amount of hash upon initial launch because people mine it at low difficulties and dump right away to BTC once the coin hits an exchange.

You take tweets and other sewage as gospel. You see a number like 100 PH/s and don't spend a minute thinking about it. More than 1/3 of Bitcoin's hashrate, can that be real? How is it calculated? Just a couple of simple questions would tell you what kind of information source you're dealing with, yet you never ask such questions.

Also see BitcoinDark. SHA256, short POW, and also had a lot of rentals on it - quite similar to XPY scenario. I didn't mine it directly, but I'm sure many renters did with my rigs, rental prices were crazy. I don't recall any issues at that time.
