compromise:
add a location "online" and people who want to advertise in places more than 300km apart, are considered professional traders that may well be charged a fee for listings. I think I have discovered a bug here.

Somebody made a BUY order using one of my SELL advertisements. Naturally, I sent the btc required for the transaction, but I forgot to include a fee.

On the other hand, I had bought from somebody else and this person released the coins to me. I have the option to automatically fund transactions enabled so part of that money was used to fund my ongoing sell.

I saw that the sell order was funded so I released the coins to the buyer. At this point, I noticed the transaction was funded internally and not using the funds I sent because those hadn't had three confirmations yet.

OK, I though. As soon as they hit 3 confirmations, those btc will be in my wallet.

But that's not what happened. Those extra coins are somewhere in localbitcoins but not in my wallet. I don't know how to get them back.

Any advice? Thanks

Hi, the case is now resolved. The temporary wallet over-fundings were automatically returned if they were cancelled, but in this case the the escrow was resolved and the funding hit the wallet after that. We'll fix this special case to automatically return the bitcoins to seller from the temporary wallet.

Small tweak?

We are making some changes here, which will enchange the online selling visibility.

Its really annoying! More and more spammers and dead accounts. Browsing the ads for active and solvent traders is like grave digging.
Inactive accounts with old ads should be deleted. Please muck out the stable!

We are working on this. We have currently expiration time for the inactive advertisers, the next step is creating some kind of barrier to creating lots and lots of ads.

Dynamic pricing is broken. The prices on the page that loads on my browser are stuck and outdated for quite some time now.

error on dynamic pricing:

i use mtgox_usd_last.
whenever is change mtgox_us_close to _ask and then change another aspect of my order (eg the fee), it switches back to mtgox_us_close which makes editing an order a pain in the asteroid.

I was trying to sell 1BTC earlier (online bank transfer with escrow), I filled out the form correctly as I usually do but my advertisement always says I have no BitCoins or I'm on vacation. (I had 1.01 in my wallet).
So I topped up my balance to 2BTC, and then tried again to sell 1BTC, but still the same thing.

Is there a minimum for selling online using escrow?

Hi, the minimum is 2 BTC, it will soon be changed to 1 BTC.

Currently many of the location searches are not working, I'm trying hard to fix them.

A seller/buyer search would be fine.

You can just use localbitcoins.com/p/<username>/, for example localbitcoins.com/p/kangasbros <- my profile

Things are slowly moving forward. Couple of new features:

- Online "cash out" ads, or sell ads. You can add possibility for "cash out", for example with paypal. Obviously reputation matters in these deals hugely.
- Now if you choose "SEPA" option for online ad, it will show in the whole EU automatically.

Our next focus will be improving the reputation system and trying to implement some way against spammy ads etc.

Im new to Localbitcoins  but so far have found it very useful for both buying and selling coins in the UK.

Question:
If i put up an online ad for people to buy coins from me, and i get too many orders in a short amount of time is it possible for me to be short on the amount of BTC required.
i.e i have 10 BTC in my wallet and someone requests a 9 BTC trade, moments later another person requests a 10 BTC trade. Will the site tell the 2nd person only 1BTC is available or would that be my job to message the buyer.

Thanks

The online feature works in a way where bitcoins are automatically taken from your wallet. When your wallet has less than 1 BTC, the ad will change to disabled state.

I'm getting a little tired of buyers that make contact with me, offer to purchase bitcoin, agree on a time and location to meet, and then never show up.

It costs me time and money (gasoline) to drive to the meeting location and wait around for someone who never shows.

I'd like to be able to leave negative feedback warning other sellers that a particular buyer has a reputation as a no show, but unfortunately as far as I can tell, there is no way to leave feed back unless I first "release funds".  Any time I "release funds" it is because the transaction went well, so obviously the feedback is positive.  There really needs to be a way for someone with an ad to leave feedback on the people who become contacts via that ad, so that others with ads know what to expect if/when they are contacted by the same person.
