Social FUD/astroturf campaigns are cheap and easy ways to try and control the narrative.

Whenever I see a little too much effort put into a fud post like this, I'm just gonna post a link to this article which explains why they're useful and used profligately throughout the cryptocurrency space. It's done by stakeholders of similar cryptocurrencies in order to protect the value of the one they're locked into, and it's also done by the fiat currency establishment in order to undermine, derail, or distract.

I was cautious of StakeMiners from the go.  The concept is 90% right, but fails the quid quo pro test.  And still relies on the "Just Trust Us" genesis block.  This is no different than the critical fault of exchanges, Gox and Cryptsy stole in the Millions.

But I have an idea of using TALK as the B for the A and thus quid quo pro is solved.

Checkpoints follow the v0.8/v0.11 chain. It's 1115685 blocks now, 168MH/s.

Checkpoint is the main problem why blockchain splitted. So it's not the guide to point the main blockchain.

1. Dev has stated that 0.9.3 blockchain is the main. Mostly, dev has the main decision power on this situation on other coins.
(For example, Dash dev had pointed even shorter blockchain when blockchain forked last year)

2. The main point why dev has decided 0.9.3 is that official release (from www.feathercoin.com) is version 0.9.3
Most of users should use 0.9.3 not v0.11. Some of them would use v0.8 but it's outdated.

3. Actually 0.9.3 block height is at 1116286
and other version is at 1115722
0.9.3 wallet has more longer height, too.


Why do you think 0.8/0.11 blockchain must be selected over 0.9.3?
(1) Not selected by dev, (2) Unofficial release or outdated, (3) shorter blockchain.

v0.9 has long standing compatibility issues. They weren't detected at the release time unfortunately. Although end users may use any wallet release available, v0.8 is advised for production until v0.11 matures enough to replace it. A patched v0.8 release may be available today.

Block chain length isn't important. It's cumulative difficulty to decide which chain prevails. The v0.8/v0.11 chain has 170MH/s now. The alternate chain is less than 50MH/s. I advise to switch your pool to the v0.8/v0.11 chain.

ive messaged you mate - in response to what you said ... but havent heard back from you ...

ive also looked at the code recently and tried to compile ... it refuses to compile in qt5 but with a couple of changes - compiles in qt4 without an issue ... so i now have a personal wallet also ...

ill also look into setting up permanent nodes and dns seeds - but im very pushed for time due to my personal move - then the move for thefarm ... so i will probably offline for a couple of weeks ( if its delayed ) until i move and get the new internet connection in ...
