According to the block explorer there are around 2.5-3mln coins in circulation! The rest seem to be buried somewhere in Polo wallets Smiley

I ended up with 600k of these shit coins. 20-25% of the active. I'm not doing too bad though, I'm only on the hook for about 90 millis. I'll just keep staking since the coin seems to be working fine, and we'll see what happens.

This has been my attitude too ... it works and in fact is an effortless coin to stake (which is not the same for many POS) ... plus it has always worked ... no hard forks (less the launch period) ... in time these are distinguishing features.

Now TALK has a new round of activity.  Things are exciting.  Some very nice high numbers were hit, and 250-300 satos has been this years general support level over on alcurex.  If the new market numbers hold up, then TALK is capitalized enough to start doing projects.

Try to keep an eye open for any inactive 'polo' coins moving.  TALK is now visible on the board that should alert anyone who has their privkeys, but have forgot/ignored their coins.

Also interesting is that just 113 accounts hold more than double the airdropped shares.

Any whales out there?  I would like to do another airdrop .... 27k per ... no LOLz this is not 2014 ... but would like to have a 6 figure pool to drop on bitcointalk Heros or above  Wink

Bounty!
25 TALK to anyone that can PM proof of staking a block today  Kiss

Yeah, the forum has gone to shit. It was great from 2010 to 2012; and went past the point of no return in late 2013 / early 2014.

interesting
Can We Take a Moment to Talk About This Forum?
I don't know about you guys, but I am absolutely shocked and embarrassed with the current state of this Gambling forum. This forum is overrun by thread after thread of empty spam threads (i.e. "Is Gambling Wrong?", "Should Gambling be Illegal?", "Would You Gamble if You Were Rich?" etc.), being constantly bumped to the top signature spammers (I understand I am running a signature as well, but I do not spam in those useless threads).

Back when I spent a lot of time here in 2013-2014, this forum had a community feel to it. The threads were ENTIRELY gambling start ups and businesses. You could see all the cool new gambling ventures being started by enterprising individuals, many of whom came with awesome promotions to kick start their sites with their first users.

That sense of community and innovation is now completely void on this forum. I personally don't even check in to here very often, and it's even rarer that I post. I'm sure countless others have done the same, too.

EDIT: Not sure why this got moved to meta. This post is in reference to the Gambling subforum only, not Bitcointalk as a whole.

MOJOcoin July update
Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1366963.0
After a few ‘ticks’ and unforeseen circumstances we have now finally moved to a new blockchain and converted the vast majority of the V1 coins to V2 coins with the help of Livecoin.net. The swap went well, it just took a bit longer than expected to get the chain moving and open for withdrawals. It now appears that most users have managed to withdraw their coins and the chain is moving along. We now have working Windows-qt and Mac-qt wallets for MOJO V2.
There are a few minor issues with the masternode system that was identified by Bitcointalk user ‘Hagie’ and that are now being adjusted. The collateral for a MN will be 200,000 MOJO. So, although the current wallets are fine, we will have to push new wallets once the MN adjustments have been done. At the moment nobody is able to stake unless a MN is running. We are currently running a private network to explore this issue and to consider options.
We currently suggest that you trade MOJOcoin at Livecoin.net and DO NOT use YoBit to trade as they are unable to communicate and I do not know if they run MOJO V1 or MOJO V2.
Once the updated source code is completed we will push this to a fresh MOJO V2 repo and work from there for further development.
I know that some people did not manage to swap their MOJO V1 for V2 and may still hold some V1 coins. It is now possible to do a manual swap by either PM me at Bitcointalk or e-mail: team@mojocoin.org. We will swap 1:1 MOJO V1 for V2 coins.
The main aim right now is to get the masternodes up and running and get a stable network. I have still not been able to update the website properly or the OP at BCT but I am working to get everything up to date.
As for the future, MOJOcoin aims to be a totally anonymous value transfer system, i.e. a cryptocurrency with untraceable and anonymous transactions. This may sound similar to other coins but we have some plans to make us different.MOJOcoin July update

It is good to see BTCTALKcoin back on track! Now, the next thing would be for it to become added into a bigger exchange. All we need is just time and patience and with a little good effort, BTCTALKcoin can become a very popular alt coin. It would be pretty good to make an automated reward system that pays out BTCTALKcoin to those who make good quality posts in this thread. Just my suggestion.  Roll Eyes

By the way, is there any paper wallet around for BTCTALKcoin? If you happen to know about one, please let me know.

automated is the problem, so i'd like to do a bespoked reward system in the near future;
in the long term ... yes watching platforms like steemit ... TALK is positioning to steam up too!

All we need is just time and patience and with a little good effort, BTCTALKcoin can become a very popular alt coin.

Amen!  Just keep the chain chugging along.  Then seek market discovery.  That is part 1 & 2.  Part 3 is funding stuff.  Focus on 1.  And part 42 will arrive at your front door Wink

old news dirty laundry
Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users!

Let's pretend for one second that Paul Vernon, BitJohn, Horus and Jim Shockney are all 100% honest folks having it beneath them to do anything nefarious. If that's the case, then how the fuck do they justify having Marshall Long, Michael Wilterdink and Leroy Fodor serving Cryptsy in any capacity including the latter cleaning toilets at its office in Florida?

I did quit the company after all so no didn't like many decisions made.... But yeah Marshall was interesting to say the least. Of the folks you mentioned the only one ever employed at Cryptsy was Marshall.

Spoetnik as far as seeing me deleting old support posts goes STOP reviving them then people IM me and ask me questions about the company I don't work for its annoying. So when you revive them from the dead I lock them, and remove the info that makes folks think they should message me.... IF you have a problem IM Horus or Jim they work there Jim runs customer service Horus runs Public relations. They should help you.

Hmm well 2 things.. First i posted earlier on this topic about the IRC MOTD that linked to that topic.
I clicked it then had mentioned it here way back.. if you forget it says MOTD on IRC Topic of discussion set by BitJohn.
And what i corrected on this topic earlier was that i was wrong assuming that topic + MOTD was current (about down time)
I swear i really did think it was from NOW in late 2015.. seriously (it was actually from 2014 OCT.)
So i went and posted back that i made a mistake here.. but i had bumped it already.
And you notice i had the last reply on that topic you cleaned upright ?
I told everyone do NOT expect a reply back from you and i tried to help people myself.. such as when Crestington asked Q's.

Point being i was not trying to be a jerk or get a waive of people on you about your -previous- employer.
If i did not work there i would not want to be support guy anymore either.. i get where you are coming from BitJohn.

It also did not occur to me that you may want to wipe that topic out because people were on you about it.
At a quick glance it just looks like Cryptsy covering things up.
It's you business of course and you free to wipe out an topics you made.. your prerogative / fair enough.
But can i suggest if this same situation occurs just editing the topic and leaving a message for people.
Saying hey "I don't work there anymore, please contact the current staff."
This would likely accomplish the same thing with out making it look like you are covering things up.

Hind sight is 20/20 right..
I deleted many of my first comments here like a year+ ago when i had mprep delete more of my topics.
I got pissed off and was planning on deleting all my comments after i got through a page or two (starting on oldest)
i got tired & bored of doing it.. why am i rambling on ?
Well the other day i had HippieTech coming at me about my First post here making crazy claims.
And sadly i deleted my comments so it's harder for me to prove what it said and it just simply looks bad.. sort of.
I guess his big issue was my Topic was a real coin launch but it was actually a parody / joke.
And that he was using that topic as some sort of proof i am Vlad

Bottom line is i do respect you guys for sticking your heads out in the storm, especially if you don't work there anymore.
Sometimes i see the context from different angles.. it would be tough working for BigVern right now.
I wouldn't want to have a Cryptsy job these days

BitJohn do us all a favor and go nudge Paul to get this shit deal with.
He needs to make a public statement giving a satisfactory explanation with technical details !

And BitJohn i don't know if you missed the long ass reply i left for you here yesterday..
But i tried to reply back with out being overly argumentative or inflammatory etc
In the hopes we could let that drop and not have to quote that massive of wall o text back & froth  Grin
But thanks again for replying back and with so much info and to everyone else too i read everyone's comments.

I don't use Skype anymore that is how I communicated with Paul. Sorry man. again best bet is reach out to Mullick, Jim or Horus they are all monitoring these forums, and still employed at Cryptsy.

100% agree that some form of Blog or post from him is long overdue.

crazy idea i have:

TALK = this forum aka https://bitcointalk.org

Want to invest in it?

That means TALK validates legit creators, projects, coins.  Which, by the way it is already doing.

ROADMAP

1. POS projects
2. the other algorithms
3. the rest of the crypto economy

<insert RANT/>

ETH, Steem, and the other crap rated +$50M are soldout / bought up / and now ceated by
the very fascist banking machine everyone wants to over throw.

Cotton = Lehman = that freakin paper you all desire Smiley

TALK is focus on street level projects, not the hype machines fueled by the fiat bankers.

This sounds really great. In fact, it could become a very popular coin by offering rewards to projects, coins, and others (which is already doing now) It all needs a little more interest into it (and perhaps promotion) to keep it going. Together, we can make BTCTalkcoin a good community coin.

By the way, a really nice feature would be an online wallet that you would access your BTCTalkcoins with your BTCTalk membership. Sounds a little crazy but it could be worth a shot. Just sharing my thoughts.  Smiley
